Chit Chat / Re: THE SHOPPING THREAD :-)

Quality lasts. My iron was one of the first on the market that had a detachable cord so could be used anywhere. I once had visitors from England who actually WANTED to hang their washing on the Fold down  clothesline which I had also never used. Can you imagine that. I didnít even own any pegs so had to improvise. Of course they then wanted to iron said clothes. I had to hunt down the iron which was packed away. When I turned it on cockroaches crawled out. Hilarious. I at least had a tiny built into a drawer fold out ironing board. I left them to it.

My iron is over 30 years old and rarely used. I paid $129 for it then which was pretty exxy and that is why I remember the price.  I bought my very first ironing board just one year ago . I was forced to buy it as I had bought a few "tee" shirts as the weather turned cold up here in Cairns. They curled up at the hem which drove me nuts so I went to Bunnings and spent $15.99 for the cheapest nastiest ironing board. I was sort of pleased to buy it as I am now able to buy linen clothes but it is amazing That if you are careful you can wear a linen dress several times before you need to wash and iron it!

The sneaky hug would have been very special Chookie.                                                                        A quick sale is a good sale Michele, it must have been hard explaining the machine to someone who has no experience with one.  I wouldnít know where to start, we just do it automatically without thinking too much donít we?  With all this talk between you and Julie re the new model I find I am telling myself I donít need to upgrade from the TM31 for 1 person - I donít, I donít, I donít.

Don't do it Judy. I sooooooo regret it.

Yep. I have been here 11 years and it had been a lot of fun and a lot of changes for us all.

Yup, those were the good old days for sure. I bought my TM5 in 2009 and made many good friends here. I then bought the TM5 but was never happy with it. I think that made me lose interest and now with just me to feed I use my TMX a lot less.

You will find your new you Judy. Life goes on. We manage. We explore. We reinvent. The memories do not fade and sometimes become more acute but we are women so we do what we do and carry on. You now have freedom to think about what you want. Maybe nothing. Maybe something. All will be revealed with time.

I have just ordered a book on flower arranging from Book Depository. It is about using what is available in your garden. I am hopeless at putting flowers in a vase so hope this helps.

I have done several flower arranging courses in the past. Good fun. Watch some on you tube as well Chookie. You have a lot of wonderful material with witch to work. Get hold of some florists foam from the cheap shop. Maybe DGD can get some for you. Of course you can just arrange in a vase but you can be so much more creative with a bit of foam stuff.

Discussion with Specialist went well. Donít have to see him for another 6 months.  He was easier to understand on the phone.
Cold morning but nice sunny afternoon.
