Chicken and Cashews
EDC page 107

I made this exactly as the recipe. I found the sauce a little bland-possibly I didn't put enough soy in it. To liven it up a bit I stirred some sweet chilli sauce through it.

4/5   Will make it again.

Thanks Cookie1, I cooked this last night and was not happy with the sauce, Will do a rerun tonight with the left overs and some more chicken.
This time I'm using an old favourite chicken marinade, Soy sauce, honey, vinegar,  brown sugar. Regards Ron

You mention leaving the yoghurt in TMX jug over night, are you leaving this turned on and set to 37 degrees?

I blend 1 orange and what ever else (equiv to 2 other pces of fruit) with 8 lge ice cubes on speed 9 for 1 minute then add 300 ml of water through the lid while it is still going and let it go for about 10 seconds. SMOOTH :) only way my lot will drink it  :o :o

Might take some practice and playing until you find the way you like it. So worth it though. It will never taste like shop stuff as it has nothing in it - no extra sugar, flavour etc

mine are into orange, pineapple and strawberry at the moment.

Thanks faffa_70,
I assume you're peeling the orange first ??

I quartered several oranges and tossed the lot into TMX. Think I've got to get those skins off. Thanks

Congrats on your purchase. :)

Adding ice to juices makes them lovely and smooth (although often they still don't taste like the bottled varieties). Blending at speed 10 also helps.  You can also use your rice basket as a strainer to remove some of the pulp.  I know you don't want to use water but I think the best way would be to blend peeled oranges with ice cubes (on speed 8 for about 30 seconds), add some water and blend for another minute on speed 10.

Good luck experimenting.

Thanks Chelsea, Could be a bit more experimenting in order this weekend   :)

Desserts / Re: Stewed Apples? Question
« on: September 10, 2010, 01:01:49 pm »
I just put my peeled, cored and sliced apples in the TMX with water (half cup?) and sugar (2tbsp?) and cook them on reverse, soft spoon, 100o for about 8 minutes (checking their softness as I go).  :)

Thanks for that Chelsea, I suspected stewed apple would be well suited to TMX, Ron

Hi there, My TMX arrived yesterday Yay! So I tried to make orange juice this morning - disaster, Just orange pulp / mush.

Who's worked out how to get juice out of an orange with TMX? I would love to achieve 100% orange juice, no water, no sugar.

Thanks cookie1, judydawn and johnro, for the welcome.

The avatar? I enjoy photography and chose what I thought was an interesting photo.

As to TMX, just waiting on the phonecall to say it's arrived....
