That’s interesting Chookie.

I made some Pistachio and Cranberry shortbread today. I forgot about it as I had a nanna nap. I’ll cook it tomorrow.

I hope you had a Happy Birthday KAtie. It’s awful when it’s 40°. It really saps your energy. Our Christmas Day is forecast to be 40°.

I saw this on a Facebook site. I’d thought I’d share it as you may get a chuckle out of it.

I haven’t had jam tart for years Mab. As a kid we often had it.
We had a beef stir fry and rice tonight.

Thank you all. SIL is having heaps of tests, MRI. And other tests.
My brother said he is starting to get a bit burned by the radiation.

Yes Judy my brother has a son who lives fairly near him..He’s being very good. His other son lives over east and to my opinion very neglectful of his parents. However that is only my opinion.

I made a batch of Spiced Nuts and Cranberries, but they caught a bit and don’t taste the best.
DH and I made a large batch of Bread and Butter cucumbers.  I did a rye SD loaf that’s rising in the fridge and a batch of Parmesan and Rosemary rolls.

You have been busy Chookie. I made some biscuits that said they were just like Danish Buuter biscuits. They are certainly very close and were tasty. https://www.biggerbolderbaking.com/danish-butter-cookies/

That would be awful Chookie. Congratulations to your GD.
I had an early morning phone call today. My SIL was taken to hospital by ambulance last night. She has Parkinson’s but we don’t know if this is associated with it. Awful timing as my brother has just started radiation therapy for a skin cancer on his ear that they couldn’t cut all of it out.
Not the best way to start the day.

I made a loaf of Thermomumma’s white bread for DH and a Classic loaf.
I managed to get them out of the oven just before we had a massive storm hit. DD and I both yelled everytime the thunder was right over head. It’s ok a little bit away but when it booms over the house I yell. 😀😀😀😀
We were lucky and had very little wind.

You are industrious Mab.
KAtie it’s a busy time. Dad always said harvest meant money would be coming in.

We came home today. Lovely air con in the house. Now to think about Christmas.

We drove back toward Perth today. We are staying at Harvey tonight DH was born here and although we have been through it many times we have never explored it.
We are staying at a free camp in the middle of town as the caravan park didn’t look very enticing.
No power so we can’t run the air con. Our solar keeps the fridge and everything going but it’s not enough to run the air con. It has been rather warm. (About 34 I think).
Off home tomorrow.

This part of WA used to be mainly dairy, but sadly there is very little of it now. This factory hasn’t manufactured for many, many years.

We went out to Cape Naturaliste today. Called at Bunker Bay and Dunsborough on the way.

Thanks Marina. I was sad to sell my red Hilux but it was our oldest car and one had to go. The Suzuki is perfect behind the motorhome and great for parking anywhere
We hope all the dramas are sorted. They said they have repaired the leaks and they had to change all the kitchen cupboards as they warped.
All we need is rain and we will find out. DH thinks it’s ok this time round. The warranty on the house part is 5 years.
