Off to Noosa for a few days then another couple of days in Brisbane - I was looking forward to a lovely Queensland break away from our weather down here but, sadly, the weather looks pretty bleak up there just now.  Ah well, it will be good to catch up with my sister as well as a friend whom I used to babysit many, many years ago!

Chookie, be tenacious about your 7 problem, I have a funny feeling you may not be the only one suffering glitches with that model.

This has been a short weekend for me so only Potato Crust Tart with Creamy Red Pepper Sauce, Adam Liaw's Roast pumpkin with whipped tahini and trying to remember an old recipe for an American themed macaroni salad

It sounds like an enjoyable and well organised trip, Chookie, have a great time while you are away.

Go for it, Chookie, this is obviously a problem and they just don't seem to be particularly interested in rectifying it.  As Judy said, they don't know who they are dealing with!!

Met some friends who we haven't seen for a while for dinner - it was a place we had never been before, and will never go there again.  The food and meal were both fairly basic, but with concrete floors and stone walls the noise factor was hideous - especially as there was a table of 6 very loud women that made it impossible to hear what our friends were saying ... it was such a relief to get out of there and back home to peace and quiet!  Am I just getting too old to tolerate loud noises now???

Yesterday we had a visit by two of our GD.  It was lovely to catch up with them as we don't see them very much these days due to distance.  They brought the game RummyCub with them and we had a fun afternoon .  They went home loaded up with cakes and shortbread.
I just looked up RummyCub as I hadn't heard of it before - I can see that it could become very addictive!

Enjoy your break away, Chookie.  Hope the weather is kind to you.

Next episode. My consultant came today to pack the 7 up and send it off. The bloody thing worked. I refuse to go through the process of finding a box, packing it, getting it to the P O, and it is heavy.
Marina, you would have loved the Expo for Elderly Citizens. The stall holders were very enthusiastic about what was on display. There was every type of handcrafted, fashion parade, free food provided by the Men’s shed and CWA, chair yoga and Tai Chi. There were many stalls with services that are available to Senior Citizens. However it was poorly organized. No overall program was obvious or advertised , nor was there a plan of where the stalls were. The young organizer was a social worker and this was her first event.
You are right, Chookie, there were many things happening at that Expo I would have really enjoyed.  Pity about the disorganisation, but, perhaps, if there is another next year it will be more organised.

Glad you are (hopefully) getting some sort of resolution with the TM7.  Being so big, awkward and heavy is a big negative if something goes wrong and it has to be returned for repair or service.

It's our annual chamber music festival at Sanguine Estate in Heathcote this weekend - really looking forward to it and I just hope the weather is kind to us.

That reminds me to look out for some golden raisins for Ice Cream Plum pudding . I’m sure I’m too late but maybe the nut company have them , another job to do . It’s the only thing that our family really like for Xmas lunch ( they like a lot but this is one they love ) . Probably because my DM made it every year . Also she made Brandy butter ( even DS who will not touch butter loves when they’re proper Xmas pudding ) .
Good luck ith your search for golden raisins again K Atie.  I remember you trying a year or so ago.  If I happen to see any, I will grab some for you.

I would be very angry about the TM7, Chookie, that simply is not good enough, particularly considering the price you paid for it, but the consultant's attitude was not very helpful.

An expo for the elderly ... can I come?  OK, I am late and it is too far away, but it would have been really interesting.

"Squish, squash" day for me today - regular breast screen.

Made a batch of Baked Baklava bites . DS can take some up north contract harvesting . They are very filling and you can break a few up like granola and have with milk .
Yum.
Marina, I’m also not good at pastry, yet my DGM was known for her pastry. She is the one who cooked for the Coles family.  And yes I would like your jars but not sure how I’ll get them. Talk to you today.
If you can hold out until our Xmas break, Chookie, I'll bring them over to you.

Chookie, I have heaps of jars if you need them.  Let me know

Yesterday and today I cooked Broccoli & Cauliflower bake; lentil and chickpea stew; Creamy leek and mushroom pie (but no pie component - pastry and I had a huge break up decades ago and neither of us has forgiven the other so it turned out to be creamy leek and mushroom no-pie); and sweet potato red lentil stew.

Marina, I tried to send you a message 3 times. I’m such an idiot. I’ll have to ring you.
Chookie,  I'll be heading up to Guildford today for the weekend.  Give the shop a ring and ask for my phone number up there - actually, they may not give it to you, so ask to speak to DH

Cookie, with all the different likes of bread, that certainly keeps your skills and interests going.
Marina, I should have said, “ in and out of fridge,” , not oven.
Today I’m playing with another recipe from Baker Bleu. SD Brioche buns with orange and chocolate.
Thanks for the updates, Chookie, I'll let DH know

I remember seeing you gazing lovingly at the brioche bun recipe as you flipped through the book.  Hope they turn out as successfully as the bread.
