Thanks Chookie, there's an outside chance I may even manage to make these without ruining them!  Choc chips plus cranberries are on the shopping list already.

Thanks for all the suggestions for emergency cookies / biscuit, etc.  I will make a note of them all.

Today I made a vegan moussaka, roasted red capsicum and silken tofu pasta sauce and tofu bean chilli.

I am not sure if this is the right place to come to, but what is your easiest / best / never fail cookie to make in an emergency.  I am sure there must be something on here somewhere that answers this question, but I haven't been able to find it.

I agree with you Chookie and I’ve only started to include meat back into my diet recently but it has to be mince - only small quantities at this stage.
That's very exciting, Judy.  As they say ... small steps (or, in your case, small portions!!)

On impulse, I went to the Makers and Shakers market at the Royal Exhibition building.  I had never heard of this market before but it is by far the the best market I have been to in a long, long time.  So very many tempting things to buy and loads of different food trucks, sweet things, gins, whiskeys, kombucha, chai ... you name it, it was there. Managed to pick up an Xmas gift for my 3 y.o. great niece, DH's favourite sauce (bought x 3 of them because I rarely see this particular sauce in the shops) - my poor credit card was worn away to nothing!!

Dropped in to Gewertzhaus (probably not spelled correctly, sorry about that) on the way home for some Garlic Lover's Spice ...  one of my favourite things!

DS and DIL called in today for lunch.  Settlement has finally taken place on their property and they were heading off to Lakes Entrance for a few days to relax.
That will be a wrench yet a relief.  Hope they get a good rest at Lakes Entrance.

Sounds as if you have been very productive, Mab.  I had a set of curtains that needed hemming but as they were big, heavy and lined I sent them to be done elsewhere - they look much better - except for the fact that we got our length wrong by about 5 cm and they don't look great!  However, I never really liked them so that is a good reason to put them on the the list to be replaced!!

Interesting purchase Chookie, are you not happy with the way the TMX chops?
I think you may have been referring to me in this post, Judy.  I really like the chopper, the more I use it the more I like it.  It is actually quicker than the TMX and you have more control over the end product.

That's disappointing news about your motor home, Cookie.  Not good after sales service at all.  Hope you manage to kick someone into action soon.
