Washed all the girls woolen jackets etc today and line dried them in the sun
Pre-kinder with miss4.....not thinking about the fact she'll be at school 3 days a week next year Cleaned out the car after 2 weeks of school holidays with beach trips etc etc, vacuumed then scrubbed the seats etc - it looks great and smells even better Planted out the last of my seedlings Just normal housework and cooking otherwise 51

3 batches of muffins - cinnamon crumble (organised housewife blog), raspberry and white choc chips, then strawberry GF DF muffins for miss8
Also made 30 beef and bacon burger patties, had some for tea and rest are freezing on a tray ATM so I can vac seal into meal lots tomorrow Have just bottled my first batch of kombucha to do its second ferment. 52

There are: beans (3 color mix + stringless pioneer) zucchini (blackjack and a striped variety which I can't remember the name of) cucumber (sweet and striped) snow peas oregano + chives lettuce pansy, marigold and nasturtiums tomatoes (salad mix, valentino, tigerella, cheery ripe) capsicum (7 color mix and mini sweet mix) jalapenos watermelon (sugarbaby) pumpkin (Kent [which apparently don't grow in Tas so we'll see]and buttercup) and lady in the snow apple seeds .... which have yet to come up My goodness your seeds germinated quickly Astarra. I'll say they did - by day 5 they were already up I couldn't believe it!!! 58

Have just made chicken stock in the slowcooker, so after straining it, I put a bit back in the bowl and have added chicken drums and seasonings..... not sure how it'll come out but worth a try
will do mash and steamed veg with it... oh and gravy using more chicken stock as the base 60

I'm just looking at kombucha kits... been advised to drink it to help with the migraines I've been getting the last 6+ months, has definitely been beneficial but so expensive ... so will most likely start brewing my own at home |
