I've just spoken to the lovely Jamie at UK Thermomix HQ.   The book is 30 (plus approx 7 shipment in the UK).  It has about 70 recipes, including quite a few cheffie recipes that have more than one component.

Apparently it is free if you host a demo in the UK

I am tempted but I think I wouldn't use it that much as I am trying to manage my food intake

I've just ordered it. Should be with me on Tuesday. I just hope it's good because at 30 plus 7.95 postage, it's a bit expensive. Will let you know what I think when I've had a chance to study it.

The dark chocolate tart has been reviewed - it's the only link on this (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=13413.0) Review thread so far as there are not too many books out there in members' hands yet.  For this list, I only link to reviews made by our members but as GF pointed out, there are other links on blogs.

I made the brownies from Tenina's site. They have apple and dates and and are sooooo nice. I actually left out some of the chocolate as I didn't have enough.  I'll post a photo later.

Well my book travelled in the neighbours car for 1 week, before I got it last night  :-))
The postie, once again delivered to the wrong mail box....neighbour didn't read address label & assumed it was more books for his wife, kept it in his car until he went to their Melbourne house, where she lives through the week  :-))

What a gorgeous book!!!
The chocolate decoration is beautiful (most don't have instructions for that though)....but it all reads dazzling!
I clearly have been melting chocolate wrong all along in the TM.
Callebaut choc used in all recipes, but will have to make do for now as my shopping budget has blown out for that ATM  :P

My book arrived in the mail yesterday, thanks again CC.
Have to agree with Maddy it is a gorgeous book. Thought of you Maddy when I saw those decorations, no way mine will look like that.
I decided to treat myself and buy some callebaut dark chocolate. As you do thought I better sample some before I cooked with it, oh my it's the best. Will have to hide it from myself or I will eat it before I cook with it.
I have the ginger and chocolate cake in the oven cooking.

I have a friend who is a French pastry chef (even the French bit). He came to my delivery Demo as he had wanted to see the TMX in action. He is convinced I should be able to temper chocolate in it and has donated a tub of his chocolate to the cause. I'll be following the recipe on French foodie's blog but not what sure what to do with the resultant chocolate yet.

Ha Ha Karen that's a much nicer story than what actually happened.  I had the blonde moment to end all blonde moments and actually ordered the book from 2 different places.  Luckily Karen was happy to take one of the books off my hands.
