Title: Humming TM question
Post by: dede on May 04, 2012, 05:12:21 am
Does anyone else find that there TM makes a humming sound when not in use but power still on?
I have heard mine quiet a few times and just turn it off at the wall. My sister and mother have said theirs does the same thing so I haven't worried about it to much. :)
Maybe it's just calling out to me to use it? ;D

Mine doesn't  hum often, but occasionally I hear it. I just put my ear to mine now and can't hear anything. Usually once I turn it off and on again it's fine. :)
I wonder if you can take your TM with you in the loony bin? I guess not as it's a sharp object ;D ;D

Haven't noticed...but I always turn off and pull the plug out when finished.....we have lots of power surges in this area, and I'm not risking it!

I have started to make that a habit Maddy as well. But sometimes I forget.

I can't say that mine makes that kind of noise but my kids seem to think I spend so much time hovering around my TM and the kitchen in general they surely must think it is my third child!

I unplug mine when not in use. Maybe it's a Tassie thing if your mum and sister experience the same.

I turn mine off at the powerpoint too.
Perhaps it is a Tassie thing. Just like the water goes backwards in your toilets  :D

Nazar I'm glad you have a humming TM as well. Makes me feel a bit better. I just have to remember to turn it off when not in use :)
