I think someone else mentioned this and that it's pretty much the same as the Bellini. No end to it now.
-
Got to get rid of them somehow Gretchen.
-
Wow! Same factory, different badge?
So who wants to be the first to write them a review?
-
haha...bellini undercover!

From the same factory with different badging...good guys have not done their due diligence on this product
-
They had to sell them somewhere after Target stopped stocking them!!! :-)) :-)) :-))
-
What a hoot. Now all the people complaining about it being removed form the shelves can pay nearly $100 more. All those who kept theirs have no hope in getting a replacement. Those who sold theirs on ebay for less than $479 will not be happy.
What an duplicitous company. Clever making it a higher price, thus more desirable.

I'm sure someone put a thread up on this yesterday with LOTS of information about where it's made and warranties etc. But I can't find the thread anymore - was it removed?
-
it was a spammer snappy....they posted that same info on at least 3 forums yesterday.
-
Oh well that explains where the post went too. Maybe they wanted some attention (which they got) to help get the word out about this new product (not really new). Every time we comment it's available to the www :)
-
It screams bellini, same except for the badge.

What you also need to be cautious about, is NOT to clink on links provided by unknown posters.....always check out from the browser instead.....the links could be provided for phishing , then bam....they can have access to your passwords etc.
That poster had a laughable response, once the taste forum deleted their post as well here http://www.taste.com.au/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=20769&sid=02c444e67a507a29c5e80edd81734f81&start=30#p361142
....and P.S.....you can trust my links ;)

Good advice maddy.
This spammer is none too bright.

This "cattle dog " just arrived in my mailbox. Now it is $499.

Interesting that it was only $299 in Target. Just goes to show how huge the markup can be at The Good Guys.
Lots of people will be sucked in as they think it will be an improvement on the Bellini instead of the same crap which it no doubt is.
Just in time for Mothers Day. How nice.

And they have a new web site that looks pretty slick. Nearly died laughing when I go to the Testimonial page and saw Tom Cruise and some Chick from Sidney. The Blog page is hysterical.

Wonder if they've fixed the problems of the Bellini. Will watch with interest.
-
Probably not. I would say all the machines still in the factory in China would have been quickly rebadged and sent on their way. Anyone who thinks these are an improvement needs to ask a lot of questions. The contact number is a call centre.
The must have made many thousands and will dump them any way they can.
Call me suspicious

You can call it what you like but it is exactly the same machine made in China. This guy is really pushing it.

Thanks for the link Maddy. They got a similar pm here too.

I cannot believe it that someone bought a Bellini, it burned the food , the motor finally broke down and she is off to buy the another one at the Good Guys who know absolutely nothing about this product except it was no doubt offered to them at a giveaway price.
Can you see the manufacturer unpacking the Bellini , taking it apart, putting in a new motor and what ever else it needs then re badgeing it , repacking it, putting it back on the truck and off to the shipping container. Are people nuts.? It would be cheaper to dump this stuff . But no putting a new label on it , calling it better, stealing more recipes , putting the price up and selling it at The Good Guys just in time for Mothers Day is what they do. Shame Shame
Ok prove me wrong.

Nobody is saying the Super duper chef thermo Bellini thingy is not safe, just that it is crap. IMHO. And now $500? Who are they trying to kid? Try making a loaf of bread dough every day for 6 weeks? See how long the motor lasts.

If our said friend is just a sparky, then .why would said person give two hoots what opinions are on a public forum!
Lot of effort for apparently no vested interest...LOL...whatever :P
-
I totally agree Maddy, something doesn't seem right to me either. :-\

This foodieatheart person has been on every blog possible supporting every machine that is NOT a Thermomix, no matter how crappy it is. I remember them posting something about the Hotmix Pro.
Someone with an axe to grind with Thermomix perhaps?
