Name of Recipe: Mantequillas aromatizadas (Flavoured butters) – not tested
Serves: Makes 600g
Ingredients:
Fines Herbes butter
30g chives, chopped
10g celery salt
Tarragon butter
20g capers
10g fresh tarragon, chopped
Anchovy butter
6 semi-preserved anchovy fillets
Preparation:
Make the butter according to this recipe (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=9631.msg142420#msg142420) using 600g cream.
Once made, the butter can be flavoured to your taste.
Add your chosen ingredients to the butter in the bowl and mix 5 seconds / Speed 5.
Tips/Hints: The flavoured butters can be used as a sauce in hot plates of pasta, baked potatoes, meat or fish.
Origin: This is a translation of a recipe in Thermomix TM31 – Imprescindible para tu cocina which is the book supplied with Spanish TMXs.

Thanks, JB. It seems when I converted my Anchovy Butter recipe I overestimated the time required considerably. Next time I make it I'll try 5sec/sp5 and see if that still does the trick. It will be nice to save page visitors 25 seconds in their busy lives.

I would be interested to hear how it comes out after 5 seconds as am unlikely to make it myself. We all loathe anchovies in this house!

No I do not believe it. You don't like anchovies? Food from the gods. I never have less than two 800 gm jars as backup,for,the one in the fridge.
Anchovy butter on steak. Bliss.

Oh Gert, I wish I did like them but I am a vegetarian, although not by choice. I just simply do not like meat or fish in the same way that anyone else might dislike celery or cheese, for example. I have been like this since I was a toddler and on the 2 occasions I did accidentally eat something that (unbeknown to me at the time) was made with meat stock I got a very upset tummy.
As for anchovies and the other two in the household, DD doesn't like strong flavours and DH who is a otherwise a great fish lover thinks they are vile. He doesn't like cheese either which is REALLY sad ;D

I think they're vile too. Ive tried to convince myself to like them a few times, but I really really don't.

Hi Caroline, yes I agree but I will eat Lea and Perrin's Worcester Sauce which does contain anchovies. However a friend of mine, who is a veggie, but has been known to eat chicken in countries such as Portudal where veggie food is quite had to come by, will not eat L&P and buys supermarket's own Worcester Sauce. which doesn't have anchovies, lol, Weird or what? And I agree with Gert, we are all different ;D ;D BTW, neither said friend or I like mushrooms, they are evil little devils lol
