...what would it be?
I have often wondered what I would do without my thermomix. And I don't know why, but that led me to wonder how on earth I would decide what to cook if I were only able to cook one more meal.
I think I would go for good ol' porridge. I love the stuff, and it brings back many happy childhood memories.
But then again...
I do love chicken curry. And my salmon and spinach pasta. And mushroom risotto. And custard. And chicken and vegie soup. And smoothies. And...
Anyway. The point of this thread: what would you cook, and why?
;)

Mine woud be risotto, love risotto, wid mushroom, or bacon chicken & leek
H :)

Would this be like our last meal to be eaten?
-
Well if it was indeed the last meal I would be making in it, I'd go out with a bang and do a steamed standing rib roast in the varoma with all the trimmings as I did on this (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=5692.15) page.

Chocolate, yep definitely chocolate for me. Why eat health if it's your last meal ;D
But if I had to choose just one thing it would be non fried rice (I do love rice) and it goes such a long way.

Impossible to answer, buuuuut may be CP's cream puffs.

This meets both criteria Hally.White Chocolate Risotto (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1554.15). ;)

Sticky date pudding for me. Not wasting my last meal on anything healthy.

Filled with Creme Pattissiere and topped with toffee? Oooh *going weak at the knees*
Think I would make a batch of washing powder (cos thats not a meal)
Then a Cobb Loaf (cos thats not a meal)
Then I don't know...Delicious Vegetable Quiche (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1832.0) with a salad on the side, and then I would pop over to chookies for some cream puffs - bellisimo!
-
Maybe we should make it a progressive dinner - that way we would be able to have a taste of everyones last meal.

I love your thinking CP ;D ;D ;D

THAT is a what I call a fantastic idea ;)

Last meal so no worries about calories. I think I would have some sort of bread, so that I could eat the whole loaf with Lurpak butter, followed by a chocolate volcano type sweets and then I would probably explode. Or maybe a sponge with lashings of cream.

Now that sounds perfect.

I am loving the sound of a chocolate risotto, but that leads me to a dilemma...would I want to risk my last thermomix meal on something I'd never cooked before? I would be slightly annoyed if it didn't turn out right, or if it didn't suit my tastes.
THE PLOT THICKENS...
-
CP, you are welcome. Progressive dinner ???? I'll be part of this. ;D
-
What a horrible thought...
I'd make a red chicken curry, no, a full Indian meal with all the trimmings, no, lemon meringue pie, no, crusty bread slathered with loads of TM butter, custard, wait, oh...I have no idea!
Cookie1 I heard that if you keep chocolate on the top of the fridge the calories hate heights and they all jump off...guess where I keep my choccy stash! ;D

Thanks, that solves the chocolate calories. Now does anyone have hints on how to get the calories and fat out of cheese? Of course I only ever eat broken biscuits that the calories have all fallen out of. :D :D :D :D
-
I told that to my DH last night (I think he actually believed me ;D
-
I overheard a lady chatting to her friend in the line at the movies one day, they were discussing the menu board and what icecream they would have. One said she had never tried the xyz icecream, but that it was probably rather fattening. Her friend said "nah, when you experiment with food the calories don't count". I burst out laughing and had to ask her if I could use her statement in future. She said I could and that she had just made it up!
So ... seeing as we are all experimenting - the calories don't count!!!
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I'm gonna keep experimenting every day, my choccies stay on top of the fridge, I'll smash all the bikkies and eat the crumbs, and the cheese can go into a bag or container with holes in it - then the fat will just fall away down to the bottom of the fridge never to be seen again.
-
Nikkit that sounds like the best attitude to have. Will have to do the same thing ;D
