Hello everyone
I'm another newbie from England and have had my Thermomix for less than a week. I've already baked my first cake for over 20 years and have made a gorgeous mushroom risotto and a soup.
I love the way it makes so little mess and is so easy to clean. I can see it becoming indispensible very soon..

Welcome Katya! Very indispensable...you will see! Enjoy your new best mate! ;) ;) ;)
Whereabouts in England are you from?
-
I'm currently living in Sheffield. I was introduced to the Thermomix by a friend and have wanted one ever since. I'm so happy to have one now. ;D

Well done! Is it quite a rare thing in the Uk though?
Whenever I try and explain to my friends in London how amazing my THX is, they don't know what on earth I am talking about!
They must think that I have lost the plot! ::) ::) ::)

I hadn't heard about it until my friend got hers and then did a lot of research. I think a lot of chefs use them but I suspect the price would put a lot of people off investigating them.
Someone else I know did get one but they put it away after use and found they weren't making good use of it so didn't think much of it. I learned from that to keep mine out and it doesn't really take up that much room.

None of my UK family had heard of Thermomix. I would have thought it would be the craze in UK. I suppose when Jamie Oliver ends up showing one in a programme, then it'll be the rave. A fortune to made in UK ;-)

Yes you are right MM! A fortune is to be made there, all it will take is J Oliver and that's it! ;) ;) ;)

Hi Katya, welcome to this wonderful world of ours. You have the right idea, leave the TMX on the bench, never put it away. Maybe if they could sell more, the price would come down and be more affordable for others - it is expensive and this is the initial turnoff for a lot of people but those of us who take the plunge are having the time of our lives with it.
