Title: Buying replacement blades/bowl but no consultant:(
Post by: GiloKez on April 06, 2012, 05:58:19 am
I don't have a consultant. Mine disappeared straight after my purchase years ago.

I would love to replace my bowl and blades as things just aren't turning out the same as they use to.

This might help me get my thermi buzz back.

Can I go direct to HO I live in the same suburb.

?????

I could just call couldn't I lol

Yep I think that's all you need to do is give them a call. Then you could pick it up directly from them. Save on postage and waiting. :)

You don't even need to phone them or go down there as they now have an online store (http://www.thermomix.com.au/products.aspx) you can order from. You should only need to replace your blades if they aren't working (plenty of threads about overloading them and damaging them on here) unless you have damaged your bowl as well.

Much cheaper to replace your blades, though you can't buy and extra bowl from the online store, you would need to speak to HO about that. If you ask one of the consultants nicely from the forum (that are in your area) I am sure they would adopt you  ;) ;)

Ah thanks faffa.
I'd love to be adopted although I am in the same suburb as HO does that matter?

Actually faffa you know what I think my blade and bowl are ok now I took some advice off here and washed the bowl with lemon juice and that cleaned the burn off the bottom and the blade well I think it has a bit off life left. I think it's been 4 years? Do they go this long?

Yes they will last that long if you look after them. I have had mine for 4 1/2 years and it was also my demo machine so it had a large amount of work to do (we are a family of 7 so it gets a work out of its own here lol) If it is chopping ok and the bowl isn't damaged then I would say it is all good. The thing that you may need to replace at some time is your lid seal should it start leaking at high speed with liquids.

You can be adopted by any of the Perth consultants. I had a few that I had adopted but I just resigned this year to spend some time looking after me after a pretty full on year last year.

Put the call out for someone ;) ;)

I didn't know that Kathryn, great move - a bit of R & R never goes astray and you have plenty to keep you busy at home as well as taking extra good care of yourself.  Great loss to the company though.  :-*

I hadn't really put it out on the forum JD :D :D I sent an email to all my customers and also asked Cookie to remove my details from the consultants thread.

My health is in pretty poor shape. I thought I was just run down from looking after Mum for the last 12 months or so but no I need to put some good focus and attention on me for the next couple of months and all should be good  ;) ;)

Thanks ladies, as you can imagine it was a very hard decision as I absolutely loved being a consultant and after nearly 5 years am still madly in love with my Thermomix  :D :D

I have had some hard lessons about looking after myself over the years so knew that this was what I really had to do. I have some minor surgery in the middle of June and that should help set everything back on the road to great health - must say I am really looking forward to feeling HEAPS better and having and abundant amount of energy!!!  ;D ;D ;D

If you haven't already found someone. I will adopt you. I have adopted many owners without consultants  ;)

Cookie do you need to be adopted too, now that Faffa is in momentary retirement??

I hope you are feeling better Kathryn. :)

It seems a lot of us get forgotten after the delivery demo, or consultants only sell for a couple of months, then pop off to no where.

Robyn :)

Kathryn please take care and look after yourself. We all need to remember that it is important to look after ourselves, because we are the only ones who can.
Meagan, you are one kind and generous person.
Yes some consultants do seem to fall off the tmx wagon, but I am sure they all have their reasons. I just wish that when mine did, she had at least let me know or given my details to another consultant who can take me under their wing.

I know what you mean DG  :) I emailed all my customers and handed them over to a consultant that I had worked with for most of the time that I was a consultant knowing she would look after everyone as I had - that helped me make the decision that I had to.

I am slowly getting better, resting lots which is very foreign to me lol  :-)) :-))

Just having the extra time to REALLY focus on nutrition and get on top of the wheat free diet for myself has been a big plus.

Faffa I know what you mean about resting being foreign :), I found that really hard over the last 7 weeks. With a big family rest is not a word I use often :)
Take care.
