I will be in western Sydney ( Parramatta and west ) tomorrow and "may" have time to pop into a store to look for a Thermal Bowl, I know you guys have found them in Indian Food Supplies ( and I could top up on spices ) Does anyone know of anywhere in that area ?
PS I live about 250kms from sydney so have to try and make the most of this opportunity

I hope you're able to find somewhere in Sydney. Have you done a google search?

A google search would be good *Try Indian stores shops Parramatta and Harris Park). there are a number of Indian grocers in Harris Park - Wigram Street - which is not too far from Parramatta Station. Good luck!

Call a shop called spice lands in home bush..they had some the last time we were there.

Thanks for the input, in Harris Park there were 4 within walking distance, I managed to get a small ( one quart I think ) 1200ml thermal bowl that has a really good water tight seal on the lid, ( It has plastic handles would have prefered all SS But it was all they have ) It will be a good size for us, It is a Vinod brand, I also called into a Indian Spice shop and got 1kilo packets of Cumin, Tumeric etc, does anyone know if I can take out what I need and reseal and then freeze the rest or will it be just best eating lots of curries to use them up ( so cheap! ) I will try and get to the one at Homebush next time I am in Sydney

I find the Indian shop spice prices are so cheap compared to the supermarkets that if I don't use them all before I think they have gone 'off', I have lost nothing. Perhaps you could share with someone. I am still using mine from so long ago that I've forgotten when I bought them. I do store my fried dried onion in the freezer though.

Thanks Judy, If ground spices are 2 - 3 years I will have used it by then anyway, anything that is left could be thrown as it was so cheap I will definatley be looking for other stuff next time I am in Sydney
