dH comes home, looks at stuff, huffs & puffs. Says leave me alone to pack. As usual I comment would you like my help as there is still more stuff to fit in thats not in the hall, ie eskys etc.
Dh grunts, then says no. Packs car, comes in very proud of himself, car packed to the rafters his way, no spare room at all. I say wheres the food going, dh mutters, uncomprehensible. I go outside, dh huff & puffing, i suggest maybe we hire a professional, more huffs & puffs. I take a look re-pack, now have back seat empty for TM, eskys and crown Prince
DH walks inside looks confused and carries on as normal, has now dissapared, will surface shortly!!!
Ths s a typical day in our house.LOL

I thought I was the only reason married to a huffer and puffer as well as being a mum to a crown prince and princess!
Good luck! :-)) :-)) :-)) :)
-
at least you can hear a Huffer and Puffer, I'm married to an Eye Roller...nothing worse than to turn around and catch him in the act with that look on his face :-))
-
I have to do it all myself - at least I know it gets done properly ;D ;D
Hope DH settles down tonight Hally and that you all enjoy the week away. Bring him a drink, get his slippers and stay very, very quiet Hally.

DH is ok, just have to give him 5 mins, then when he reaapears, its back to normal.
He has been a bit put out this wk, uni student having big party, dh not invited. I said dont worry her loss she thinks your boring, but she doesnt know your wife!!
Anyway, the friends we are going away with to kalbarri, my friends mum hangs out with dh colleagues, so i said at least we are in with the young set.LOL cracked me up. His colleagues holiday with the older set. Lol

Don't worry CP63 I also get quite a bit of eye rolling as well- usually overt but sometimes covert! Also the occasional kitchen cupboard door slam as well, this normally is relieved by a decent glass of shiraz. The occasional door slam occurs when my DH sees how much stuff I have crammed into the pantry- anything I need I can find straight away of course, he gets frustrated when he is looking for something, which could take days. I believe this is a totally normal male affliction! ;D ;D ;D

We are on our way ;D

Have a great trip!

Too funny Hally. My DH was with QF for nearly 50 years, working in all departments including freight. He traveled widely and often and he could not pack a handkerchief in a pocket.

Nah he wound up in commercial management. He spent a lot of time going to "meetings" which always ended up with a stopover in Thailand on the way home. LOL!
Enjoy your trip. Ain't the iPad great?

Hally I hope you enjoy your holiday and that you have enough food. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hally I'm so jealous - a holiday away.
Sounds like you are going to have plenty of delicious meals! Travel safely
-
Enjoy Hally, we packed two vehicles AND a camper trailer for our break last week... and we only had half of the children and the dog! :P
-
how bout you could try this Hally...put your book inside a plastic bag and then pop it in the freezer. Its supposed to get rid of smells. Apparently you are not supposed to wash jeans...ok it may apply to a certain brand (nudie or something), or a certain stretch - but they recommend if the jeans start to smell you pop them in the freezer. When you think about it, it is a cooking book so it should be freezer friendly as well - at least I would give it a go ;)
-
Arrived safely in beautiful Kalbarri.
CP its out in the sea air atm, the smell is definetly reduced thank goodness. I coud give it a go if the sea air doesnt fix it.
We have loads of food, the fridge, freezer & cupboards are all full.

My DH and DS are both stubborn mules :D
Neither of them will ask for help and always do things better. Never admit they are wrong, because they never are LOL.
I just go along for the ride and keep quiet. When he does get upset he usually huffs and puffs and occasionaly slams a door if he gets really angry. But I couldn't live without him. I still love him and I guess I am just as bad when I come to think about it (but I would never tell him that of course) ;)
Have a great holiday Hally :-*

Oh yes couldnt live without dh, we are chalk & cheese, bit ir works well.
