Title: Greetings from the Apple Isle
Post by: SusanD on January 19, 2012, 02:23:43 am: Hello there. I am also from Tassie and I have owned my TMX for around 6 months now. My husband and I run our own business and I also work another job part time as well as bringing up our three beatiful children, so as you can imagine it is go go go in our house! I love my TMX as it saves me so much time in the kitchen and I am now cooking things I had never even dreamt of attempting before. I made my first ever batch of raspberry jam the other day and it turned out perfectly, thanks to the comments and suggestions on this forum.
I have also looked through some of the recipes here and I can't wait to try some of them and I hope I can also contribute some of mine.

You sound just like me. My husband and I run our own business (well 2 atm) and I also work another job 2 days a week as well as bringing up DS, so as you can imagine it is go go go in our house too!

Thermie (as I call her) has been a great addition to our household as I can usually whip something yummy up for dinner in no time at all. I love that I can leave thermie to do her thing and do other chores that need doing and she will ding me when she is ready.

Just cooking some cookies for afternoon tea with DS.

I'm in Tassie as well and have had my TM for 12 months and loving it. Hope to see you around more on here.

If you are ever in Tassie, a must visit is Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm (http://www.raspberryfarmcafe.com/) their raspberries are the plumpest and sweetest raspberries I have ever tasted and their menu of local produce, delicious!

Post by: dede on January 19, 2012, 09:50:17 pm: We were given a whole heap of raspberry canes last year and the produced so many raspberries that I had to freeze some. We ate heaps fresh and I took some with us camping and for Christmas which my mum used to mix in with a cheese cake. It was so delicious. I love raspberries. I will be making some jam with the frozen ones. Yum yum.

Like making things and knowing exactly what is in them. We have raspberries too, and they make wicked sorbet!
