There is an article about Thermomix Australia and Grace Mazur in this morning's (Wed 18/1) West Australian. According the the artivcle Australia is number 6 in the world for sales with WA buyin more machines than the other states.
It is interesting considering a thread I wa reading on anohter forum comparing the Thermochef to the Thermomix yesterday where and awful lot of Thermomix bashing was going on primarily becuase of the price.

That is interesting. The article says the business turned over $51 million last year and is still growing. I do admire Grace for getting it going. I wonder if they will lose any business to TC because of the cost. People could wear out 2 TCs for the cost of a TMX.

Thanks DD,
It wouldntt surprise me that WA has the highest sales, there are a lot of us on the forum.
Also in Melbourne I asked around DH's family and friends and they had only heard if it from me.
I suugested the family all put in for one for dh's youngest sister as a wedding present, no-one interested, which was a shame. The reason being they really ddnt have a clue about the TM.

The article you alerted us to didn't include this detail, Dashingden, but I found it interesting to hear from Grace Mazur at a consultant meeting last week that these were the top-selling countries in 2011:
1. France
2. Italy
3. Spain
4. Germany
5. Portugal
6. Australia
7. Poland
We are being urged to aim to BPP in 2012 - beat Poland and Portugal.

Thanks for putting the link to article on line Cecillia. I read it in the paper before work and didn't think to see if it was online.

No worries. Wouldn't have known to look if you hadn't shared.

It sounds like H.O. is bringing out a new recipe book - anyone know what type it is?
-
Any one know what the cookbook is that is going to help raise money for the Tassie Devil. I think its great that they would do that - but I guess if your turning over $51 million they can afford to help a good cause. I would buy that just to help the cause.
-
I know nothing officially about the book but I am racking my brains as I have heard about it. WIll come back if I think of it ;)

The new cookbook is called A Devil of a Cookbook and it's by our Branch Manager, Fiona Hoskin. It is being launched at Thermofest in Hawaii (late March) and then there will be launches around Australia.

Thanks Cecilla :-* :-* I had a feeling it was Fiona doing it but didn't want to say too much as I was grasping at threads in my memory. It should be a ripper coming from Fiona ;)

It's certainly a good cause. I saw it mentioned in the calendar. Just as a cookbook, not named.
-
think there is going to be a recipe in there called Li'l Devil Rissoles... (joke)

Or maybe Deviled Sausages. LOL

Doesnt the mind boggle at just how much Grace would have earnt when they quote those figures??? Mind you, I do not feel any envy because she happened to be in the right place at the right time, and I say "good on her!". No wonder TMXR has left us, as a vet he probably would have earnt a squillion more if he had been the first to import when he became aware of the TM with all the contacts and knowlege he has.

I think with all the money we spend on TM's & products there should be more freebies.
I went to the christmas cooking class, it was packed maybe 80 people plus @ $30 per head and we were given nothing. A tea towel or brush would have been nice as. Merry Christmas & thank you.
They did a raffle 1 cookbook, then christmas shortbread kits!!!! Insulting I thought.

Can anyone tell us if the book referred to in this thread, A Devil of a Cookbook, was indeed launched at Thermofest and when it will be available for sale?
