Today I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Katie who recently ended up with 2 copies of Quick Fix in the Thermomix by Alyce Alexandra. Alyce was kind enough to tell Katie to give it to someone and not send it back so I was the very lucky and grateful recipient. Thank you Katie and Alyce. I have only had time to give the book a quick glance but it will be going to bed with me tonight for a complete read. What I've seen so far impresses me which is the general consensus from those who have this book.
Katie spent the afternoon with Geoff & me and of course the usual forum and TMX conversation took place - poor Geoff - but poor Katie too when Geoff discussed his tank collection with her :D Thanks for the visit and gift Katie, with our busy lives it sure took us a long time to catch up when we only live 10 minutes apart.
Photo taken by Geoff, the first photo he has taken with the camera that was given to him for his 60th, 2 years ago. You all know by now that this camera has been used many times by someone else in the family though :-))

Well deserved gift there JD!! So glad to see you catching up with other TMX lovers as well!
I look forward to picking up a copy of this book though!

I ordered my copy Friday week ago and look forward to its delivery.
Nice to see fellow thermomixers getting together.

It was a lovely afternoon meeting Judy and Geoff and talking about our Thermies and the forum. I'm really lucky to live so close to our Superhero Judy and it was great to visit.
Judy and Geoff are both lovely and it was so nice chatting I actually stayed for hours :)
It was even nice talking about the tanks with Geoff. My OH has three cabinets full of die-cast buses and cars, so I understand boys and their collections!
I ordered the Quick Fix in the Thermomix book well before Xmas after reading about it on Facebook, but my copy didn't arrived and "seemed to have been lost in the mail". I emailed Alyce to let her know and she kindly arranged another copy to be couried to me, which I received last week. This week the "lost" copy of the book finally turned up in the mail ???. I emailed Alyce again and offered to post the book back to her, but she kindly said I could keep it and pass it on to someone I knew who had a Thermomix. I knew Judy lived just down the road from me and I couldn't think of a better person to give it to!
Thanks again Judy for letting me visit and thank you for the bottle of wine. Hopefully we will get to catch up again :)

CC, I didn't even think to offer any to Katie - that would have been a great idea.

What a wonderful visit. The photo of you both is lovely. It's so nice when you meet your fellow forum friends, isn't it. Enjoy the book.

That was a lovely gesture Katiej and Alyce. It's such a shame when you are only ten minutes apart that it has taken so long to get together.

This post made me smile :D

Same here knittercook. DJ have you been lying to us about your age ?
-
Katie and Judy, what a great time you have had. I have met 5 forum members in different parts of the world. It is terrific. You feel that you already know each other. Uni, Judy certainly does't look her age. It is all the late nights and TMX chatter that is keeping her young. Katie , very generous of you to give Judy the Quick Fix book. I am sure she will enjoy it.
-
Lucky you Judy, thanks for sharing the photo. I don't think I have heard of that book
-
Judy you are well deserving!! Thanks Katie for thinking of her and Alyce thank you for being so generous!! There is a lot of good in the TMX world ;D ;D ;D

What a lovely gesture. Love the photo.
Looking forward to Judys reviews ;)
