Sorry I am being lazy and was wondering if anyone had a TM recipe for Beef Wellington?
We had this tonight from the butchers and would love to be able to make it knowing there are no nasties in it.
Thanks
DG xxxx

DG, not exactly something you could do in the TMX but here's (http://bec-humblepie.blogspot.com/2011/12/beef-wellington.html) a recipe with no nasties, made from scratch. There are TMX recipes on this site so if it could have been done I'm sure she would have done it. I would have made the mushroom part in the TMX myself, just making sure it ended up a dry mixture.

Thanks JD. The one my butcher sells it totally different. It was similar to a meat pie but the gravy had a different flavour and it was in little parels. May have to talk to him about it. I don't think it is beef wellington but thats what he sold it as.

Def not beef wellington then but when you talk to him and perhaps convert the recipe you can post it here ;) ;D

Not heard of a Beef Wellington Pie DG and go along with frozzies suggestion - that is if the butcher will give away his trade secrets which I doubt very much.
Found this (http://www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/recipes/beef-wellington-pie) interesting pie recipe which could be converted - a few steps but sounds delicious

I know the butcher pretty well and he knows DS normally wouldn't be allowed such food during school as it probably has nasties in it. So I will ask what it has in it so I can decide if DS can have it again. He is usually pretty good at revealing what goes into his food, so fingers crossed I will havve a general idea soon.

DG - it's not beef Wellington but there is a recipe in dani valant's book on page 118 for a steamed beef fillet which is wrapped in a bone marrow dumpling
