Title: Fishermans's Pie Dinner Spinners
Post by: cookie1 on January 08, 2012, 05:00:41 am
Fisherman's Pie
From Dinner Spinners

I only made ½ of this as there are only 3 of us. There was plenty and some left over for DH's lunch. The flavour is yum and I'll definitely be making it again. There are a few 'stages' to it but having done it once it will be easier the next time. The only change I'll make is to stir the tuna through just before I put it in the oven as we like our tuna chunky. This is a personal thing and no relection on the recipe.

As usual with this great production I give it 5/5

Judy I have managed to do the link without wrecking your work. :-*

It was only because the list is so small I think. Not me being clever. :D

Cookie, you are fantastic! glad you are so easy going and fiddle around to meet your needs. I cannot possibly write recipes for all families, all needs and all options, but people still expect that…but you just go with the flow and that is refreshing for me!
xx

JulieO's review from another thread

December 12, 2011

Today I made the Fisherman's Pie and seeing my DH only finishes work at 7pm I had a little taste.  Really nice. I will increase the vegies next time and also add some corn kernels, another winner Tenina.  See picture below.

I did half quantity of this recipe tonight - would feed 2.5 people.  Forgot it had mascarpone in it but had some Philly so used that plus a bit of cream to loosen the mixture.  Didn't put the tuna in the TM bowl at all, placed it in the casserole dish and mixed the sauce through it there. It was very nice but as others have mentioned, there are lots of steps and it seemed to take forever to prepare.  Normally tuna dishes are quickies. Good one though.

Made this last for dinner and it was great.  We had heaps of leftovers though so I'd definitely recommend halving if you've only got a couple of people.  Even though it took a little bit of preparation time, the steps were pretty easy to follow.  I really enjoyed it and so did the family so we'll definitely make it again.  Great recipe!
