I didn't even realise this section existed! I only click on "Unread Posts when I come on the forum, so hadn't scrolled down to here.

I'm pleased that it's here. Much as I adore my TMX, I don't cook meat in it and never complete meals. I use it in the preparation phase and for soups, sauces, pastes, cakes, bread and biscuits. So it's great to see everyone's 'other' recipes here.

I'm the same Megan. I don't cook red meat in the thermomix. I love my crock pot
for casseroles. I actually went to your sister's blog and tried the curried tuna slice.
DH isn't a big fan of tuna but all the family enjoyed it.

Last night we had honey mustard chicken, I pan fried the chicken, and made the sauce in the TM then mixed it all together and placed it in the oven.. I don't like shredded chicken breasts. Was much better than doing it all in the TM.

Have you tried diced chicken thigh fillets in the honey mustard recipe Dede?  If you add them with 6 minutes to go they are perfect.  :)

Yep I have Tried the thigh fillets. But not added in the last 6 minutes. That would be heaps better.
It's funny that the first few times I tried the honey mustard chicken I didn't seem to have a problem. But now I find the chicken is over cooked. Strange.
Maybe my expectation of quality has changed since having the TM where I expect things to be spot on or not at all.

I add diced chicken to TM dishes (risotto, curry etc) with 5-6 minutes to go and always try to use thighs rather than breast fillets. The thigh fillets are more work to prepare but the taste and texture is so much better. Give it a go sometime Dede as it saves washing up (not cooking the chicken separately).  :P :D

I've been using the TM more and more for complete meals and have found it greatly reduces the washing up!
It's the planning that takes the time. You really have to think through a recipe so that everything gets chopped first and you're not cleaning the bowl all the time.
