Title: EDC Spelt Bread Rolls
Post by: DizzyGirl on December 30, 2011, 10:05:12 pm
Has anyone made the Spelt Bread Rolls into a loaf?

Was going to give these a go today but would like to try my new bread tin.

thanks DG xxx

I just did and it was my first ever attempt at making bread!!  Turned out very well as a loaf, I put about a tablespoon of linseeds in as well.

How nice is it to be able to eat hot fresh bread... there are some excellent bakeries near where I live and I'm a regular customer, but maybe not for much longer  ;D More in love with my TMX than ever  :D :D :D

PS I didn't use a loaf pan, just placed the shaped loaf onto a baking tray for the second rise and then into the oven.  The dough wasn't sticky & was very easy to shape.  For the first rise I just left it in the TMX bowl.

I had been a bit worried about not having a warm enough place for the dough to rise, but my stovetop - under the warmth of the rangehood's halogen lamps - turned out to be perfect.

I made these rolls today, as it is a while since I have made the plain white rolls I cannot really remember what the difference is between them and these made with spelt, they were very nice  though
