Finally! I've been looking for a satay sauce recipe that doesn't use peanut butter for ages! Can't wait to try this. Julia can you taste the sunflower oil? Just wondering if I could substitute it for an oil I have in the cupboard eg. Grapeseed, or peanut?

i have never used sunflower oil lisaarnold, does it have a taste ?

Hi
I haven't actually tried this recipe yet, but sunflower oil has a pretty neutral flavour, as I believe grapeseed oil has too. I am sure peanut oil would also be fine as it is a peanut sauce. I would just avoid strong oils such as olive or sesame.
Best wishes

Fundj - I don't know if it has a taste. I have never really used it and didn't want to go and buy it specially. I will try it with grapeseed and see how I go. Thanks ladies
