Hi everyone ...
My name is Jennifer & I'm brand new to TMX cooking, but loving it so far.
We've had our "thermie" for a week, and have used it a few times a day - every day.
This forum has been a great resource. You're all so helpful, creative, and generous with your time, suggestions, and ideas.
Ive found heaps of great things to cook here. Our favorite (by far) is Fruity Dream. :)
I'm looking for a few more recipes that don't include rice or pasta.
Any ideas where I should look?
Thanks for all your help so far!
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer from another Jen in Melbourne (south east). I love this site for recipes. Hardly ever use the books as this is so much better with all the comments and hints. Just look through the sections and have a read of the recipes that catch your eye. There is so much to choose from! I love my TMX which I have had for about 3/4 year and can bearly remember what life was like before. It's so much fun!

Hi Jennifer, welcome to the forum. Have you seen this recipe for bangers & mash (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3821.0)?
beef enchiladas (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1645.0).
Chicken & Lentil cottage pie. (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=5683.0)
Beef & Guiness Stew (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1187.0)
Chicken & Leek filo pie (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=6719.0)
That's just a few but as Jen said, have a look through the different categories. Most meals are served with either rice, pasta or potato so if a recipe cooks rice in the basket and meat & vegies above, you can replace the rice with potato cubes.

Welcome to the forum. Try Baf's Chicken and there are quite a few other lovely meals in the All in One section.

YUM!
Thanks for the great ideas, and warm welcome.
I will keep searching using your tips.
So glad to be here!

Welcome Jen, the Melbournites are increasing in number - slowly but surely.

Welcome to the forum. The butter chicken from the Indian cookbook has become one of our family favourites.

Hello and welcome Jen71.
I often make lasagne with sliced potatoes. Just partially cook the sliced potatoes and use instead of lasagne sheets. I also add other baked goodies such as eggplant, pumpkin, zucchini etc for a vegetarian option. I grate the cheese then make the bechamel sauce in thermomix and then assemble and into the oven it goes. I often replace pasta or rice with potatoes. Tuna Mornay on a mashed potato base etc.
Have fun and Merry Christmas

Oh my goodness! I have been on quite a Thermomixing rampage! :)
I'm sure you guys can relate ... It's SO FUN!!
We made Nigella's blueberry pancakes for breakfast.
Cheesymite scrolls for lunch.
Tonight, while I was waiting for the 5 grain bead to rise, I made the delicious cashew chicken recipe I found on Jo's blog - Quirky Cooking.
My kids wolfed it all down and kept insisting that it was exactly the same as our Thai restaurant, only better. (how cute!)
We've had fruity dream every day for a week, so the kids helped me make chocolate cupcakes for something different.
The 5 grain bread baked up beautifully and my husband is so impressed - "better than Bakers Delight" he said.
Haha! This Thermie is getting a workout. :)

You have certainly picked some great recipes to break in your TMX Jen - sounds like the family are appreciating your efforts and are all interested in what is happening in the kitchen.

Sounds like you're having a great time with your new toy!
Welcome!

Thanks!
It's much more fun than I expected.
Can't wait till everyone is here for Christmas and I can show them what it can do.
