Hi Everyone,
My name is Leisa, I live near Ballarat, I am a Mum of 2 Boys, run a business with my Hubby in Melbourne and we have had our new Thermomix for 1 week. The first night we got it, we cooked up Carbonara, the next night Pumpkin Soup, the next Risotto, I had also made CADA for our brekkies, ooo and a yummy Tomato Soup. Hubby has made Custard twice (this is what sold the Thermie to him), I also made the Vegie Stock Concentrate, first time I have ever made my own stock. I can't wait to get home at night and use it, it just makes things so much quicker and easier. Best thing we have ever purchased for our little kitchen. I have been reading posts on here for months, I have collected and printed a few recipes along the way, now its time to start broadening the horizons a little. Ahhhh where to start?
Ohhh I didn't mention that I have never been part of a forum before, so this is a first for me, I must admit I was a little nervous about typing this today, but I'm here and a very proud owner.
I'm looking forward to this week-end to be able to spend more time in the kitchen cooking up more yummy meals.
I'm looking forward to trying some of the recipes you have all posted on here and getting back to having fun in the kitchen.
Thanks to you all.
:)

welcome. i'm sure you will continue to have tons of fun with your thermomix!

Hi and welcome. I think we would all agree that the Thermomix is a marvellous machine.
-
Welcome to the forum. I've had my thermomix for 1 week too.
It really is a time saver. The recipes here and the book reviews with recipe tweaks are extremely helpful.
-
Welcome and enjoy.
I have had my TC just over 4 weeks and love it.
All my enthusiasm is back for baking. No more having to drag out all the gadgets then wash and put them away.
TC sits quietly on the bench waiting for the next task, and then performs with ease.
And minimal clean up after.
Now I need to adopt a bigger family to keep up with my cooking or we will all put on weight. ;D

Hi Leisa, welcome to the forum. It's amazing how many of us had never joined a forum before getting our TMX but I remember finding this one and thought all my Chrismases had come at once. This forum is really what got me up and running and gave me the confidence to use the machine more than I had been. Enjoy your TMX and your time on here.

Hi and welcome to the forum Leisa. :)

Hello and welcome to the forum Leisa

Thank you all for your welcomes. All very much appreciated. I must admit, reading all you experiences and seeing the friendships you all have on here is what made me join in, I can't wait to try more recipes. I just made my first batch of peanut butter, we have just enjoyed a fruit smoothie, it was delicious. For dinner we had a fresh Arribiata Sauce, which I made into a Marinara. Tomorrow night will be an Asparagus Risotto again, fast becoming a fave. Looking forward to the rest of the weeks cooking.

Hi Leisaloo and welcome to the forum. Why not pop over and enter in the poll (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=395.msg89754;topicseen#msg89754) so we can keep track of where our members are from.
We have lots of delicious recipes here that our members have kindly posted - and here is my current list of favourites (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=6470.0) - we also look forward to hearing from you if you have any queries, comments or converted recipes of your own to offer.

Thank-You for your lovely welcome CreamPuff, I did pop over and enter in the poll as you suggested, so added another Victorian to the list.
Gee there are a lot of Western Aussies on the poll. I recently visited W.A & fell in love with the place, cant wait to get back there.
I checked out your faves list and WOW there are SO MANY on there, I will have to check it out better when I'm not at work. But I did see Laundry powder on there and I think my jaw dropped. I havnt gone into "the recipe?" I think I will do that tonight with my hubby, I know this machine is amazing, but Laundry Powder, wow, can it wash your clothes as well? Sorry, I need a little chuckle today, its the last mad week at work, we shut the doors on Friday this week until the 3rd Jan, you would think we are never going to open again, our customers get a little silly (Thankfully we love our customers).
So guess what will be happeneing between Christmas and New Year whilst we are on hols?
Lots of cooking thats what... I cant wait to try some of Creampuffs fave list and lots of other forum members recipes, you're all amazing to take so much time and post all of these yummy recipes on here, it makes your mouth water just reading some of them.

Hello Leisa,
Welcome to the best little (well its quite big) forum out there. Being a busy working mum (hubby and I also own and operate a business) I have found the thermie has saved many a dinnerless night. I recently made apricot jam and it was the first jam I have made successfully. Yesterday I made tomato sauce and it is absolutely delish. I make my own bread now as well. It is great knowing that there is no hidden nasties in our food.
Enjoy cooking with your thermomix and be sure to let us know how it is going.
Merry Christmas
DG xxxx

Hi DG,
Thanks for your warm welcome, I already agree with Thermie making our evening meals so much quicker and easier, its great. By the time we get home from Melb each night, I had lost the zest for cooking as I was just so tired, so its starting to come back now! Its great. I cant wait to get home and cook. I am really looking forward to making my own jam too. I have a few days off starting Friday, I will make some jam and some sauce I think. AND I'm really looking forward to trying bread. My Aunt in W.A made this Beautiful Bread, Isi's Portugese Bread? WE fell in love with it, so I fund the recipe and I'm going to give it a go.
Merry Christmas to you and yours, have a good, safe one. xxxx :)

Leisaloo your Aunt obviously has a TMX too. I'm glad you liked WA it is very large, a long way away but also very beautiful.

Hi Cookie1, Merry Christmas to you & yours. :)
Yes my Aunt does have a Thermomix, we had lunch waiting on the table when we arrived at her property, Pear, Pea & Parsnip Soup( we nicknamed it the triple P soup), fresh bread, butter and then later more bread, butter and jam, all made in the TMX.
I then used it later and made a couple of dips & a fresh juice.
For our evening meal, we made Tomato Soup, we had meat (on the BQ), Cauliflower and white sauce with fresh breadcrumbs, and salad, then an apple & rhubarb crumble, all TMX meals. Oooooo and Hubby used it to make custard. You can see why we fell in love with it and wanted one.
Yes W.A is beautiful, I have never been to another State before and fallen so in love with a place, we could really consider moving over there. It would be a huge decision though as most of our family are in Victoria and NSW.
And thanx to Robyn (Obbie) for the welcome too & have a great Chrissie also. :)
And thanx to Natmum for the welcome too & have a great Chrissie :)
