Thanks for this recipe. I have never used ganache. How does it set up. if at all ?
-
it does set in the frigde but not very hard, when i need it i scoop some out into a cup and place in M/W or into a bowl of hot water or if i have something cooking in the TM i just place it on top ;D

I leave in fridge for at least 4 hours, sometimes til the next day. Let it sit a room temp., then whip it the mixer or with hand beaters. Makes a lovely icing.
If you want it glossy, let it cool a little after melting, then pour on cake.

Here is another recipe for ganache . I use this cake as a party piece. http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1550.0
I think the bit of butter makes it shiny. Now with my new super spatula from Helene I can get every little bit out of the bowl and then lick the spatula!

Just go back to your original post and tap or click on modify , change it, then tap or click save. I have to do it often when I don't use spell check or the iPad decides to change my words.

The amazing Torte Caprese - with a decadent amount of ganache. Can't go past it. Thanks, Kimmyh.
