Title: Silly Billy
Post by: leesmac78 on November 17, 2011, 04:18:00 pm
Confession time.  Has anyone ever prepared something yummy, like an all in one meal but inadvertently FORGOTTEN to press the varoma button and had raw dinner?
Come on, there must be someone other than me???

I've done it a couple of times, but realised in time to save the meal - although I was running late by the time I'd finished cooking!

Yes, in my early days Lee but I soon realised nothing was lighting up and the bowl was still cold  ;)

You only do it once though.

I guess I am a little distracted again by work. An iPad with recipes off one side of Thermie and.a laptop doing work on the other. How did I ever cope without Thermie? I was using my cooktop as a desk last night!!! Ahhhhh! In four weeks I will be in Australia and on holidays, bring it on!

Lee I "cooked" leek and potato soup without the heat on once.  Couldn't underrstand why it was so difficult to puree!! ??? ??? ???  Does that count?
Good luck for the rest of the year, don' t get too overwhelmed by work--bring on the holidays, I say!

Denise our summer break is 6 weeks in Qld - 5 and a half actually as staff return for 3 student free days prior to the start of the new school year, all states have a similar length break  :)  :)

I can do better lol. I was making smoothies for the kids this afternoon, put in some honey (last of the jar), went to get more honey, turned the TMX on (speed 8) heard a hell of a noise, stopped the machine and opened the lid. I'D LEFT THE DAMN SPOON IN THE BOWL !!!!!!!!!!!!  So I now have a gouge (sp?) on two of the prongs on the blades.  It had quite a rough edge so DH used the steel for sharpening knives and filed it smooth.  HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

I think kids around and doing too much at once, so got distracted.  DH thinks though that it may put the blades off balance ??? Anyone know from experience ????

I've used it since and it seems to be working fine.  Gave me a hell of a fright though !!!!
