Title: How to use apple cider vinegar?
Post by: korrick on November 16, 2011, 07:12:27 am
Hi everyone, I have a couple of bottles of apple cider vinegar that I want to use up. Does anyone know recipes that will use it up - anything sweet or savoury. Thanks

Thanks JD, these look absolutely fantastic. I think I will start with the honey ginger BBQ sauce. I am so impressed with this forum and the hints are really useful. Everyone seems really eager to help us foodies.

I use Apple cider vinegar in place of white vinegar in all recipes.  It is not so harsh.

It makes a good salad dressing: 1 tsp of cider vinegar for 3 tsp of sunflower oil or vegetable oil.
Must confess my main use for apple cider vinegar if to soak barley for our dairy goats  :-))  Great source of potassium!

thanks carine and achookwoman, both are great tips. I agree that it would be less harsh than white vinegar. A new staple for me.
