Title: Oz only products
Post by: Amanda on March 12, 2009, 01:06:30 am
I found this link in another forum and thought that others here in Australia may be interested in having a look.
https://www.onlyoz.com.au/index.php?osCsid=bf512d8be158576309b5c311594db8c8

I am not associated with them and am not advertising - just a matter of interest! :)

Hi Amanda,  :)
Thanks for this.  OnlyOz were on one of those current afair shows last week.  It's great.  Not only is it all Australian owned and made but there is heaps of stuff they sell that the supermarkets don't stock - certainly makes shopping easier with a little one!  Not sure how they're prices stack up but the convenience would certainly be worth it.   ;D ;D ;D
Have also started looking at some organic grocerers  that deliver Australia wide and a local green grocers that delivers too (though most of their prices aren't that competitive) - again VERY handy!
Cheers

Where are you located Brazen?  I'm in country Vic so our options are pretty limited.
I've only just started researching into who will deliver to me so can't offer much comment on suppliers at the moment. And have just placed my first order with The Green Line.  Our local health food shop often does not stock certain ingredients although I can get them at our next major centre - Albury but that's about an hour's drive! So ordering online becomes much more effective and is looking competitive to our local prices.
Some websites I have been looking into are:
www.thegreenline.com.au are melbourne based and delivery to major country destinations.
www.wholefoods.com.au melbourne based too.
www.organicworks.com.au
I'm not sure if Macro Wholefoods deliver - Mum was recently in Melbourne and very impressed with their store (and thankfully she shopped there for me at the same time).
Just google "organic groceries online (destination -  I put Victoria)"

Here's a link to a site that list organic retailers. http://www.bfa.com.au/index.asp?Sec_ID=132.
I think www.wholefoods.com.au deliver dry goods Australia Wide.

Oops - keep finding more sites that I had added to my favorites (obviously my filing doesn't have any sort of system applied to it) LOL ;) :'(

http://www.kombuwholefoods.com.au/ - Australia wide
http://www.gardenorganics.com.au

thanks ILB! will check them out later :) so much easier to order online than go out with children in tow - depending on the markup...

Brazen another good one is www.inspiredwellbeing.com.au.  They are based out of Bondi Junction.  I haven't shopped with them yet - but they seem to be more 'health food' based.
