Does anyone have a simple cream sauce recipe i can make to go with chicken and mushroom ravioli?

Something which uses items i am most likely to have in the pantry?

A creamy brandy sauce would go well with  chicken and mushroom ravioli ;D

Hubby decided he'd like to make his own sauce so made one with things like cream, garlic, tarragon, red onion, etc and it actually tasted very nice!
