Everyday Cook Book Amendments and Tips
Breakfasts, Salads & Starters
Porridge (P36) – don’t pulverize the oats unless you want oat meal. Leave whole and proceed with recipe making sure you cook the whole oats longer, around 12-15 minutes.

Soups and Mains
Mashed Potato (pg83) – make sure you use white flesh potatoes.
Mushroom Risotto (pg85) changes:
   20g Olive Oil
350g-370g Arborio Rice
   1000g Water
Beef Stroganoff (pg98) – For a thicker sauce increase corn flour to 2tbsp.
Sweet and Sour Meatballs (P103) – cook on speed 1 not speed soft
Ragu (P) cook at 100C not Varoma

Breads, Pastries, Biscuits and Cakes
Basic Bread (pg112) use 420g-440g of Bakers Flour the rest of the recipe remains the same.

Jams, Spreads & Desserts
Custard/Crème Patissere (pg155) - This recipe is for a thick custard to go in profiteroles, for an eating style of custard cut back to 25g and use corn flour.

I recently received the above message from Thermomix.  These changes will be incorporated into the next edition of EDC, I understand.  In the meantime, worth sharing.

Sorry - fundj, not sure when I first received it from head office (had a crawl through my e-mail but couldn't find it), but got a second copy this week locally and realised I had better get the word out, as there are reasons for these adjustments and customers deserve to be fully satisfied with every Thermomix experience.

Done, CP - sorry I did not find that thread before starting a new one.  Honestly, I did look, but obviously with the wrong keywords.  All's well etc.
