Title: Hiya Thermo lovers
Post by: Kazza14 on October 06, 2011, 02:58:30 pm
Had my Thermie for about a month and I'm lovin it ;D I used to hate cooking but now I look forward to trying new things. My son was diagnosed as a Coeliac earlier this year and I'm still trying to find the best bread mix, they all seem to have a plastic after taste  :-)) I'll keep on trying, the mixture is so wet and its awkward trying to clear it from the blades. So if anyone has any tips ;)
Successfully converted a chicken pie recipe the other day  :o Looking forward to learning more from you all on the forum 8)

Wecome to the forum K14. I don't have dietary stipulations but there are many people who do and it is a matter of going through this forum and finding what suits you, and perhaps you can make a list to help others like I have here (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=6470.30). I would me more than happy to show you how to make a TM recipe list for Coeliac patients

Hi Kazza, welcome to the forum.  There are like minded people on this forum so you will get advice from them I am sure.  Have you tried Cyndi's GF bread here (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3521.0) - it seems to be popular.

To get the mix off the blades after you have scraped off as much as you can off the bowl (not blades), just turn the speed dial to speed 10 for less than a second and you'll find the blades with not have anymore batter/dough on them.

Hi Kazza & welcome,

You'll get great help from the people here. I second Cindi's GF bread. I've made it a few times for gluten intolerant guests at my demos... In fact I made one this week - and the lady was amazed. She said it's the best GF bread she's had. And twice the size of any she's bought.

Happy cooking,
Karen

Welcome Kazza14. An alternative to get food off the blades is to lock the bowl on and give turbo a couple of pushes.
