Hi, I just got my Thermomix on Saturday for my birthday - huge brownie points for the other half and for my 6 year old for keeping it a secret! I live in WA and have been after one for ages - ever since going to a demo at a friend's house. So far I have managed to make coleslaw, brocc salad, minestrone soup, bread rolls, lemonade and sundried tomato dip - I have a feeling I am going to get quite fat with all this cooking, but am loving it. Can't wait to try new and interesting recipes and then when I get a bit more confident I will start converting some of my own recipes ;)

Hi joeymc, welcome to the forum. Yes it was surprising the 6 yr old kept the secret - they are notorious for letting the cat out of the bag unintentionally. Looks like you've been having fun over the weekend - belated happy birthday too.

Happy birthday! And wasn't that a wonderful surprise? I've never made coleslaw in the tm, either! Other things, yes.

Thanks everyone, am having heaps of fun looking at recipes that I would like to try but am trying to focus more on low fat ones. Could easily get carried away with all this baking!!
I am from Mandurah. Today I made cupcakes for my daughter's birthday and coleslaw - so easy!

Welcome to the forum. I also got mine for my Birthday and quite a few extra birthdays and Christmas's to come. I don't mind though as it's the best and most used gift I've ever received. Enjoy the cooking with your new Thermie.
