Can anyone tell me what size ice cubes I can use in the Thermomix? My consultant said not to use the bigger ones but can't seem to find any recommendations either in the instruction book or on the net. My freezer ones are about 3cm (at the fat end), 2cm (at the skinny end) and 4cm long. Should I buy new ice trays that make smaller cubes?

The ice cubes I use in my tm are pretty big and solid, and from the sounds of it, they are probably the same size as yours. I haven't had any problems with them and I actually prefer them to small cubes because I find the small ones melt very quickly and result in a slushy sorbet, whereas the larger cubes give me a firmer sorbet. It all melts and slushes up in the end, I suppose, but I like 'em BIG!

Mine are about the same size too.

joeymc.Thermoheaven's advice is spot on. I have an ice making machine and the cubes are too small and tend to melt too quickly. Stick with the large ones, this is what my consultant uses.
