Title: Hello from Launceston Tasmania
Post by: Jessiebean on September 27, 2011, 02:03:30 am
I have been lurking for a while and realised I had better join and say hullo! My husband rustled me up a TM for Mother's day this year and I adore it! This morning our boys went off to daycare with green smoothies in their tums and I make everything I can from scratch now, peanut butter, tahini etc....
I look forward to reading all the recipes and sharing some too and sharing ideas!
Have a lovely day!
(Oh dear I do sound UP!I blame the green smoothie!)

Hi Jessiebean, welcome to the forum. I'm interested in what you put in your green smoothie, I only ever have smoothies for breakfast but have never tried the green smoothie.

Hi Jessiebean, welcome to the forum. What a great Mothers' Day present - some people hate getting household appliances as presents but what better gift could anyone get ;)  Nice to see the boys being into their green smoothies at such a young age.

it's a bit haphazard but sometimes I use a bit of frozen spinach or some greens from the garden (some of the weeds like chickweed, nettles and marshmallow work well too!). It's good to have some strong flavoured fruit, oranges and bananas are good but I have been using frozen blueberries and strawberries and kiwis (no longer green in colour then!) this morning I threw in an avocado and whizzed it all up (with a handful of almonds) for 30 seconds on speed 8. I had to thin the mix down with water so the boys could drink it but they love it! There are heaps of sites out there with great recipes and a lot of people recommend the TM for them as well as a standard blender doesn't make them smooth enough for a lot of tastes.

Hi, I'm also in Tas, in westbury.  I just replied to another tassie person who is in deloraine, so it seems that there are lots of us with tmx's (who also like forums!) in this area.

I've just made risotto and blueberry icecream, so dinner is sorted.
