Hey everyone, my name is Aimee
I live in Perth and over the last year have been learning more and more about eating real food, and am very excited about educating myself daily! One of my favourite blogs is the healthy home economist, I'm 26 years old, and I've just moved in with my boyfriend (who doesn't have a clue, wonders why on earth I buy organic eggs at $9 a carton... but I must admit is very willing to learn because he realises how important it is for me)
I started looking into the Thermomix because I want to be able to make more from scratch. This week will be my first grass-fed meat pack delivery, and first raw milk delivery.. I've been getting them for awhile retail, but glad to be saving money buying in bulk!
I cannot wait to make butter, cheese, yoghurt, kefir, mayonaise, sourdough bread, etc... although I want a TM more than anything I cant necessarily afford it and recently discovered the ThermoChef and am looking at purchasing one this week... as much as people on this forum may be opposed, I think it will do everything I need it to do, and I'd still love to share loads of ideas on this forum :)

Welcome to the forum Aimee. :)

Hi Aimee. You certainly have the right idea with your food. Let us know how the Thermochef goes. What a pity you didn't get an extra tax cheque to make it a TMX.

Hi Aimee. I also have a Thermo Chef, as the TMX was unfortunately out of my price range (retired on a pension). I have had my TC for about 2 weeks now, and just love it. Have cooked up a storm. Lots of things that I would never do without the machine. Money saving too. This morning I bought a 500g packet of shredded coconut from Coles for about $2.65. The more processed the coconut, the more expensive (fine dessicated packet of about 250g cost $5.50 odd). I'll just zap it and probably use some for coconut milk, as well as cakes and maybe coconut butter. Enjoy your new lifechanging machine.

I agree Nola. It's wonderful how we can look at the cheap things and convert them to something more expensive. ;)
