Hi everyone
It's been a while, hasn't it? I hope everybody is fine
I'd like to come back with this very tasty hummus recipe
I still have it in my fridge and I can't get enough of it!
Very easy peasy
I hope you enjoy it
Name of Recipe: Hummus
Ingredients:
1 can of chickpeas (1 can=400g, drained=240-250g)
25g reserved liquid from canned chickpeas *
50g fresh lemon juice
50g tahini
25g extra virgin olive oil
2 cloves of garlic, pressed
Salt
* Do not throw the liquid from canned chickpeas, we will use 25g of it while making our hummus
Preparation:
Place all the ingredients in TM Bowl and blend for 1.5 minutes on Speed 4-5
Scrape down the sides of TM Bowl with spatula. Blend for 1 minute on Speed 4
Transfer hummus into serving plate. If you like you can decorate with lemon slices and sprinkle with sweet paprika
Enjoy...

Hi farfallina, welcome back. Hope all is well over there too.
-
Thanks for the recipe, farfallina. Good to have you back on board after your break away.
I just read on your blog that you have given up smoking. That's wonderful. You say that you don't really feel any different, but hang in there, it IS worth it. It may take you a while, but one day you will suddenly find that you can smell the flowers again, or your taste has improved. Then you will realise that you don't even miss smoking anymore, everything will be so much better. Nicotine is incredibly addictive and as you've been off the smokes for a while now, the addiction will be lessening - don't be tempted to try one now, you've come this far, don't let the nicotine win! You are strong and you can do this. It's worth it. Keep it up and well done.

And yes, everything is fine.
Our visit to Istanbul was just great
I had lots and lots of kebap :)
I quitted smoking
These are all the news I guess ;)

Farfallina, you do not need sesame oil just sesame seeds and olive oil. i do mine by eye and taste
-

Hi auds
Soon I will try a hummus recipe which doesn't use tahini and I will post it if I get satisfied with it.
But it uses sesame seeds and sesame oil instead of tahini.
Otherwise you can try fundj's suggestion.
-
thanks guys I will try fundj's recipe. Not sure what it means by "cooked" chickpeas - I just usually use the ones straight out of a can - not sure if they are cooked or not.
will let you know how I go thanks ;D

canned chickpeas are fine
i give my canned chickpeas a quick boil, the hummus does come nice and smooth
