Name of Recipe: Sesame Rice
Number of People: 5-6 as a side
Ingredients:
20g Pure sesame oil
3 garlic cloves
800g water
350g basmati rice
1 tsp. salt
diced vegetables (I used red & green capsicum, carrot & celery)
2 Tbsp. ketjap manis (sweet soy)
2 Tbsp. sesame seeds
Preparation:
Place garlic cloves and sesame oil into jug. Cook for 3 minutes, varoma temp., speed 4.
Add water and salt, and cook 7 minutes, varoma temp., speed 1.
Whilst heating, dice vegetables of choice and place into varoma dish.
Sprinkle vegetables with the sesame seeds, and lightly drizzle with sesame oil.

When water has finished heating, insert steaming basket, weigh in the rice, then place varoma on top with vegetables.
Cook 13 minutes, varoma temp., speed 4.
Pre-heat thermoserve.
When cooked, place rice & vegetables into thermoserve, add the 2 Tbsp. ketjap manis and mix. Add some cracked pepper if you wish.
Sit for a couple minutes before serving.

I LOVE anything sesame.....but the kids hate it!.....well guess what....they ate it :o Another point to Mum :P
Thankfully as they are getting older, they don't screw their noses up as much, before eating it......it gets very tiresome >:(
