Hi,
I am looking at purchasing one of the marvelous machines but I also love my weight watchers recipes does any one have any experience using the Thermomix for WW recipes and if so could you offer me any advice?
Thanks
Anne

Hello Anne, and welcome to the forum. The TMX is a great machine and I hope you make the decision to go with it. A lot of our members have been to and / or currently attend Weightwatchers and I am sure someone will get back to you with some help and ideas. Despite appearances, not EVERY recipe is fattening and it is a matter of just working your way through them and finding those that are suitable for you and your requirements.
The one thing that all the recipes have in common, though, is that they are all home made and, although some may utilise commercially manufactured product/s in part of the meal, on the whole, a TMX prepared meal is better for you than most alternatives and you have ultimate control of what you eat.
Good luck with your diet and your decision re. the TMX.

Hi Anne, welcome to the forum. Almost any recipe can be converted for the Thermomix - here (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=6118.0) is one for a chicken lasagne. We have some on the forum converted from Annette Sym recipe books which are great for weight loss. A lot of TMX recipes can be altered to suit dieters, just reduce the amount of butter or oil in savoury dishes, substitute apple puree for butter in cake recipes, that sort of thing. If you have been following diet recipes you will know what to leave out and what to substitute with something lower in calories so it would just be a matter of getting used to the machine and you will be off converting your own recipes in no time. Any help you may need, you just have to ask and I'm sure there would be others who would be interested in seeing some WW conversions on the forum as well.

Hi Anne and welcome to the forum. :)

Hi Anne
I am trying to follow weight watchers and bought my thermomix just over a weeek ago. So far it has not been good for the waistline but that is my fault making too many goodies. I am putting things straight into the freezer now!
I reckon once you have the machine and get to know it you will be able to adapt most recipes. I made one from the WW magazine last week that had a white sauce so I just put the ingredients in in the same order as the TM recipe book white sauce. It turned out fine.
Perhaps we could swap some conversions!

Thank you every one for your replies - I think they will be fine to convert, I will just have to become a guru on converting recipes and post the for everyone else. Thanks again, this forum look sgreat and so supportive

I'm not on Weight Watchers but have reduced carbs and eliminated sugar. The Thermomix is working well for me - I use the meat fish, stir fry, salad, egg & soup recipies++; I also reduce the amount of oil/butter I cook with. My food is simple and I make use of the sauces in small quantities. I live alone which means I freeze a lot or gift food to my family. Focus on what you can eat, rather than trying to fiddle with what you can't. Enjoy!
