Hi, I am new to all of this - thermomix and this forum!
I live on the beautiful NW Coast of Tassie and have 2 kids - BD and RM. RM is on a very strict Failfsafe diet that is also gluten free and dairy free. Since attending a thermomix demonstration and hosting my own I have spent hours trawling through the internet looking for recipes for both RM and the rest of the family .... wow! I am so impressed!!
I am just awaiting delivery of my own thermomix and can't wait to get started!!
What should a newbie do first with their machine?

Hi Daisy, welcome to the forum. Glad you have found lots of recipes to suit the needs of your family. I really do appreciate the fact that our family have no problems with food, it must be so hard with the restrictions you have in yours.

thanks dede - sure am! Have been to the fruit and vege shop and stocked up in anticipation ... what first???
-
Now thats a big question, I really didn't know what to start with when I first got mine either. I think it was something simple like custard and the veggie concentrate.
-
The Thermie Demonstrator is going to set me up and make the vegetable stock with me tomorrow afternoon ...
I have found a failsafe custard for my son ... so that could be next on the list!!

Welcome to the forum Daisy....have fun tomorrow :)

It's arrived! Yay!
Delivery arrived at 3.30pm today with my wonderful consultant setting me up and helping me cook vegetable stock.
So what else have a I made since:
vegetable stock (FAILSAFE) for RM
creamy tomato and salami fettuccine (gluten free)
FAILSAFE chocolate custard (mmm ... need to tweak that one but BD said "great experimenting mum")
butter (both salted and unsalted)
and with the left over buttermilk - I have a loaf of buttermilk bread rising ready to bake for tomorrow's breakfast- for hubby and BD (who can eat gluten)
Woohooo! Going to love my thermie!

funny how you would probably not cook that on your normal Saturday, but with the TM its a breeze.
