Title: Thermomix books comparison.
Post by: Decadent Dot on July 30, 2011, 10:42:41 am
What I want to know is if the Every day cookery book listed on the UK Thermomix site have the same or similar content as the Fast & Easy cookery book also on the UK Thermomix site. Does anyone have them both and would care to comment?

I have both the Everyday Cookbook (Australian Basic Cookbook) and the Uk Fast and Easy Cookbook.  I like the Everyday Cookbook better but I think that is because the dishes and ingredients are more familiar to me. I don't like the way the UK book uses the hob so much when they could be utilising the varoma. I am glad I have both though.  :)

DD here (http://www.thermomix.com.au/tm31-contents01.pdf) is a list of contents of the Australian Everyday Cookbook.  I recently got the Fast & Easy Cookbook and I think that is far superior to our book.  You would have the F & E wouldn't you?.

I love the UK book much more than the EDC and think that HO should add it to their repertoire of cookbooks available to customers. The Demonstrator Delights book is pretty good, too.

From reading the Forum I think the UK book is more reliable than the EDC one.  I haven't seen that many negative reviews of recipes in Fast & Easy but quite a few less than enthusiastic comments about EDC recipes.

I don't know why you can't buy Fast & Easy in Australia - we can buy the EDC one in the UK  ??? ???

Thank you all for your opinions and thank you Judy. Your index was most enlightening. You are right, the F&E came with my machine.
