Title: RICH CHOCOLATE TART
Post by: domestic goddess on July 22, 2011, 08:00:59 am
Rich chocolate tart:

Ingredients for base:
50 gr Macadamia nuts
200gr Digestive biscuits
80gr butter

Directions for base:
Place nuts and biscuits in thermomix and whizz on 9 for about 10 seconds till crumbly
add butter in chunks, heat to 35 degrees and let it combine

When combined put in a paper lined and greased spring form (about 21-23 cm) and press with spoon.

Place in oven on 180 degrees for 5-10 minutes or until it is slightly browned, take out and allow to cool while you make the filling

Ingredients for filling:
100 gr dark chocolate (at least 70%)
50gr dark chocolate 85%
50 gr milk chocolate
(the above is what I used, as I didn't have 200gr of the dark chocolate -but see what you have.)
Thickened cream
Milk
3 eggs slightly beaten

Directions for filling:
put cream and milk in thermomix, heat while stirring to 90 degrees or just before boiling.
once at that temperature, add the chocolate broken into pieces, and stir on forwards till chocolate is dissolved

allow to slightly cool in thermomix and then add the three slightly beaten eggs, be sure to leave the thermo moving at about 4 - 5 to ensure that the eggs don't split and that it is not too hot

once combined, pour into the cooled base and then place in the oven at 120 degrees for about 50-60 minutes or until slightly hard but still wobbly.

take out and let cool at room temperature.
