Has anyone ever taken the time to look at the Forum Statics (hidden away in the small print at the bottom of the "Forum Thermomix" page)? They make really interesting reading and are a real eye opener - it's no surprise to see who the members are that are the mainstay of the forum - thank you and well done everyone for devoting your time, energy and knowledge to everyone else.
-
:) i just want to say thankyou, to those top 10 members, who spend all their time on here, mainly helping everyone else.
Just shows how much we love our thermomixers.

Good one to bring to everyone's attention Marina. It makes for some interesting reading and the last stat where it shows 2 postings back in June 2008 compared to what it is today just shows how much this forum has grown over the years.
-
Thanks for bringing that to my notice,it's very interesting and hadn't seen it before. I guess the hours many of you put in is why it is such a successful forum. I like to get a cuppa and my iPad first thing in the morning, actually a bonus being in WA everyone has been up and there is plenty to read.
-
Well I have obviously had 2 much sun, I can't find them!n
>:( 8) ???

I hadn't noticed that part of the forum Marina. Interesting to see that the chit chat part was so popular: proof it's a friendly forum :D
-
Thanks JD
A big thank you to all of you, you have all made this forum so gratuitous

Gosh iPad running away with itself again
Meant to read FANTASTIC

They are fun to look at. We can see who the 'chatterboxes' are, and those that would rather be on here than doing dumb things like housework.
Bedlam it is good being here in the West isn't it? Always plenty to read when we get up.
-
Hally, I laughed at your slip of the fingers in your post - I thought "... surely she doesn't REALLY mean gratuitous!!" I figured it out as a typo, although I read the word as "great".
-
wow very interesting reading. None of the statistics surprise me though lol.
-
Do you know what I like doing? ...............spying............
If you go just below Forum Statistics, and click on the Users Online where there are X Guests, X Users and it lets you see who is looking at what topic. Very sneaky...mwa-aaah!
(sometimes I see a topic that sparks my interest again, so I click on it ;))
-
What seems incredible to me is the number of new members in the last couple of months - this forum is really growing exponentially but it's wonderful that it still stays the same warm, friendly place in spite of its size.
Well done to everyone, especially the top 10 :-* :-* :-*
-
Wow interesting reading
-
That was so interesting - thank you for alerting us to it Cuilidh, never ventured there til now. Thank you to all on here but in particular those terrific 10 who keep the forum wheels always moving. :) :) :) :)
-
Cuilidh,
It's not my fingers honest, my iPad is possessed, it does what it wants, it's so not obedient ;D
Hally

Yep, computers are like that!

We have come a long way... The stats are amazing. This'll keep growing and growing...
I'll never forget that first night when I sat down and actually started this forum. I had to label everything in English (as this is a clone of the Portuguese forum).. and then when launched, well, there was not a lot. Then a few kind members linked back to this forum. It started slowly at around 2 per week. Then 5, then 10.... I could go on and on...
Now I have around 100 requests per day to sort out, but unfortunately 90% is spam (some shocking)...
When UK starts buying this wonder machine (and Vorwerk releases in USA), then it's going to be pandemonia :) And of course we have thousands of Aussies still to conquer!
Thanks to all, because you are the success!
A big salute from me to you all

Thanks Master Moderator for starting this Forum. And a bigger thanks for keeping the fake (want to be) members out. You make us all feel safe while using the forum. Your our Bodyguard.
Its amazing looking at the Stats and how quickly it has grown in such a short time. Well done.
-
:-* :-* :-* for MM. I for one would be devastated if I couldn't have my dose of 'the forum.'
-
didnt know it existed either..the stats yes but not in such detail..a very big thankyou to the top ten 'chatterboxers' lol and MM for all his hard work (ps word of warning the aussies are hard to conquer so beware!!)
and CP thanks for that discovery also...sneaky little devil you are :P
and cookie i too would be devastated ...its my time out and put a smile on my face moment in a world of housework and toddlers!!
-
You must be run off your feet MM, now I feel guilty when I ask you as question on behalf of other members ;)
The nice thing is that you always get back to me so I thank you for that :-*
Glad you are able to keep the unwanteds out, must admit I had a few shocks in the early days when I came on first thing in the morning.
CP, you are a devil, I too now look at that stat - it is interesting.
-
I too didn't realise that such detailed Stats were there - although I must 'fess up to sometimes taking a peek at who's online and what topics are being viewed ;D
It's fascinating to see the difference and growth between November 2008 when I joined, and now. I knew we'd grown hugely, 'cos I don't feel like I need to put in the extra effort to help things along anymore (shame on me!) and just pop on to see how everyone is and what's new every few days when I have a few minutes - rather than the unfailing every day that I used to put in (ah for the pre-baby/toddler days).
I love this forum, and especially how friendly and helpful it is. Thanks to MM, the Top 10, and all of you who help to make this the forum that it is :-* :-* :-*
-
Lovely to hear from you CarolineW. I'm sorry you don't have more time to spend on here but I'm sure you're enjoying having DD2 to keep you amused....
It's amazing how this place hasn't changed since the early days when there were less of us around... except there's so much more to read each day :D :D
-
I love the forum too, even on holidays I have to log in every day. I do miss my TM and am looking forward to cooking next week, watch out freezer your going to packed full of yummy food. That's the problem I have, I cook, we eat I cook we eat, I cook I cook I cook I cook, so much food, I just cant help myself......
Hally

Thanks for all you have done for this most amazing place.
MM I can now give DD and my friend the reason for still not being approved to be a member of the forum - they must have been classified as spam - but didn't you realise that spam is an acronym for 'some people are amazing'. :D :D
Cheers for now MM (must move on approving contacts of johnro :D :D)
-
Lovely to hear from you CarolineW. I'm sorry you don't have more time to spend on here but I'm sure you're enjoying having DD2 to keep you amused....
You know it!! ;D She's such a little character nowadays - she keeps me in stitches. And keeps me running too :D And if I'm getting a break while things go quiet, it's time to worry. Silence means 'Be afraid. Be VERY afraid.'
She was silent today and I thought 'oh oh'. Sure enough, she's now tall enough and strong enough to open my sewing drawer (who knew?). She'd got out a packet of HUGE doll sewing needles, and opened it, and got the needles out. She had a needle in one hand and a pair of sharp scissors in the other :o :o
-
OMG Caroline :o :o sounds like she is really keeping you on your toes :) Before you know it she will be off to school and you will be waiting for them to come home because the house is so quiet! As much as I love the days when everyone is out ... by the end of the day I am waiting for them to all be home again :-)) Tapped in the head I get called lol
-
I was the same Faffa , looking forward to them coming home from school, then they are home for a while getting irritable with each other and you wish them back at school. I would love to go back in time to those days.
-
Just looked at the number of people on line at any one time and this month we have broken our record with 332 :o :o Great going everyone ;) :D
-
It has been extremely busy lately CC - certainly getting harder to read everything and get to bed at a decent hour :-))
-
Very interesting reading indeed. Well done to the top 10 and all posters for all their wonderful tips, advice, recipe development and reviews.

It certainly is Judy.My usual routine of catching up has been revised. :D :D :D
-
I have no hope lol
-
I usually read "just about" every posting, but have no hope in writing a reply to every single posting. I have come to realise that my replies are often non-relevant anyway and tend to look at the "Most Recent Posts" before I post a reply. I have a self imposed ban upon posting if having a few drinky winkys, but often the person who has a glass or two doesn't recognise the ban cos she can't keep away from the forum such is the habit.
-
Lol cp.. When drinking one should stay away from all communication devices!!
-
CP, I can make stupid comments without the drinks, so don't. Let that hold you back. ;D
-
Not talking about you CP but there have been a few interesting postings over the years due to drinky winkys - usually they get deleted once that person reads them the next day :D
-
ha ha I've deleted often - hence the ban. I need to a have a couple of thick rubber bands to wrap around my laptop before I have a glass, so I have to think before I remove them :D
-
JD, do you realise you have spent 140 days in total on this forum? That's amazing- I guess it makes sense when you look at all of your wonderful posts. Congratulations to all of the usual contributors on the regular list!
-
I don't look at it very often Merlin but it is rather high isn't it :-)) Good thing I enjoy it on here ;)
-
I think we all do JD! Absolutely nothing wrong with your stats- I'm just impressed, that's all!
-
All communication devices should have a breathalyser on them which cuts out when the writer or speaker is pissed. In the old days you could just tear up a letter in the morning. Hard to tear up an email. harder to retrieve a voice message.

Heck if that happened you'd never see any posts from me
-
Deedub, that goes for me too! : ;D ;D ;D
-
Very interesting indeed and such very big thanks to the moderators and members for making this such a useful, fun, happening place.
It is great and I do really enjoy it. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

I was thinking that just a day or two ago, Judy, do you and Cookie need help as moderators? This forum is getting so big now and you have a huge responsibility as a carer for Geoff that, even though you love this forum, you must be getting a bit weary.
PS Hope that isn't being presumptious of me mentioning this.
-
As quite a new member and TM owner - this is a very warm place to visit. I feel I have gained so much more than an amazing appliance. Although I have rarely posted on here - I can't express how much I appreciate all of your input, suggestions and humor. You all make everyone so welcome - its lovely to have discovered such wonderful people who share a common obsession with their Thermomix. Thank you all.

And Judy never goes to bed until she has read every post so maybe we should have a curfew. Of course cookie is further west so she can carry on after Judy gets some rest. Maybe a moderator in the Northern Hemisphere would be of some use MM. But then again Judy and cookie know us well and they can slap us when we are out of control and being naughty.
Maybe we should have a curfew and stop being naughty? Nah that would not be fun.
Carry on girls. We love ya.
Gert
-
WE love you Judy, and Cookie, and of course MM.
you all do a great job, and we appreciate it.
-
Just keep chatting girls, that's what this forum is all about - it's become a bit of a drop in centre of late for those insomniacs amongst us. It just shows how comfortable people are with this forum and Cookie & I are coping well at the moment. MM is often in contact with us to make sure that is the case. The moderating is the easy part, it's reading all the postings that takes all the time and that's our choice as to whether we read every one or not. No complaints from either of us and if we aren't on, there is always someone who is and they let us know if there is any spamming to remove. Thanks for your concern Marina, all is well though. :-* :-*
-
Judy's a legend :-* :-*
-
She sure is.We'd be lost without her. When I get notification of spammers etc Judy has always beat me to it. I just get up later over here in the West. :P
