Judy, yes to both statements. I feel very privileged to have met CC while OS.
-
Please be patient with me as I am relearning to post photos.

I think I have got it!!!!!!
-
Indeed you have Chookie, good on you. Those desserts look lovely.
-
Thanks for sharing these special moments with us Cookie - it is certainly great to put faces and names together!!!!!!! :) :)
-
It was a lovely lunch, warm sunshine wonderful company and lots of conversation. Then I took Chookie shopping up and down my favourite place in London,Marylebone High Street. ;D ;D I did help her to spend some of her money :-)) :-)) Unfortunately we ran out of time otherwise I'm sure we would have found more things to see and possibly buy. ;) ;) The DH's retired to a Pub while we shopped :D :D
If you are wondering what's on my dessert plate,it's Elderflower Panna Cotta with Basil Sorbet fresh Strawberries but I can't remember what they called the foamy pink stuff :D :D Chookie had Raspberry Mille Feuille, as did her DH,my DH, as usual went for a chocolate dessert.
-
Thanks CC, i knew you would come through a description of the beautiful food we ate.
-
CC we visited our daughter while she was living in London and Marleybone High St was one of the many favourite haunts for me - the mix of shops and restaurants intrigued me. DH frequented the bookstores while we strolled and spent way too much. It must be lovely in the summertime, we only ever visited at Xmas time - brrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
-
I love this!! another catch up ;D ;D I wonder if there ARE any other forums out there like this one - I sincerely doubt it :) :)
-
So you westies need to visit CQ sometime - it almost seems a world away sometimes!!!!!! :) :)
-
at least you have some hope of members visiting you robyn or a catchup...i have practically zero lol!
-
Just bad timing Frozzie :( :( - we were in France in November last year. :) :)
-
I'm working on it. :D
-
You shouldn't speak too soon Frozzie. Currently looking at a trip to France next year. You never know who might show up there. Seems to me that we are always reading about one member or another going away on hols (lucky devils). I'm sure that as time goes on many members will be travelling and looking to meet other members when in their neighbourhood.
-

Lovely photos, desserts look lovely and you look like you had a great time. (funny I always pictured CC as having dark hair).
awww Marylebone High Street, I lived in the next street along for many years until I had kids. Though it was less trendy then.
What pub did the dh's go to?
-
That must have been so much fun for you two - that's great!! Well make sure you come visit me if any of you come to FNQ!! :D
-
Interesting Zan, the pic of CC was very similar to what I had pictured. ;D :D
-
Quirky, would love to.

I did have dark hair when I was younger, but as I've got older and with the help of a hairdresser it's got lighter :D :D :D
Don't know what Pub the DH's used Zan,but they did drink Guinness ;D ;D

Love a Guinness with Sars, (Sarsaparilla) for all you who don't know what that is. Went to an Irish bar in NSW a few years ago and asked for one. After 5 mins of explaining I gave up and just had the Guinness.
