Hello. I'm new around here. I live in tropical Darwin where my world is busy (and usually hot!) with work, children and life.
I love to cook and have finally decided that good as I am when it comes to dishes that need stirring, there is much to be gained from having a TMX in my life.
I'm expecting the new addition to my kitchen sometime in the next couple of days and I'm excited.
I look forward to learning from all of the other passionate TMX owners out there.
Cheers.
Kada :)

Hello Kada, it is great to have someone from the NT join the forum. According to our poll (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=395.45), you are our first member from up there. I think the TMX will be perfect for your type of weather, it won't heat the kitchen and you definitely won't be standing over a hot stove stirring food. Do you know anyone else who has one - it is always handy to have a friend or relative with one to compare notes and recipes. You have come to the right place though for a great variety of recipes and all the help you may need. Have fun with your machine when you get it and enjoy the forum. I lived up there for 2 years in 1970-71 and the heat was far too much for me. I thought we would live on salads with it being so hot but the price of salad ingredients was far too expensive and they didn't last long either so it was hot meals for us 99% of the time.

Hi kada from the bottom end of Oz (Tassie) where the days a freezing at the moment. Welcome to the forum and happy cooking.
-
Welcome to the forum.
-
Hello and welcome to the forum Kada.
-
Thanks for the welcome!
Judydawn, I don't know anyone else, but that may well change in a hurry. I've been talking about the TM so much and often that a couple of my colleagues are giving it serious thought, and a couple of others have the seed firmly planted. So it may not be long before other Territorians join the forum. ;)
My consultant is a local and has been using TMX for several years - already she's provided me with some good info on local suppliers of wholegrains etc. She will certainly be a valuable resource as I attempt to make the most of my Bimby.
cheers.

Hi Kada and welcome to the forum :)

Hi Kada and welcome. My Thermomix and I (also DH and the caravan) will be in Darwin a little later on this year. Save a bit of the less humid weather for us. :D
-
Hi Kada, and welcome to the forum. You will benefit immensely from the TM not heating up your kitchen.
-
Welcome Kada, have fun with your TMX and ask for help if you need to.
PS how about sending a little warm weather down south . 3o here yesterday.
-
Hi Kada and welcome to the forum - our DD has just returned from Darwin explaining the wonders of your part of Oz. :) :)
-
It is a magical place up here. And I know those of you in the southern parts are freezing your bits off, but can I see, we've had chilly weather up here too - at least by Darwin standards!! :-))
My children are looking forward to sorbet and ice cream on demand and making the most of the wonderful tropical fruits we have access to. :D And reducing the heat in the kitchen is always great.
Thanks again for the welcome everyone. I look forward to spending time here on the forum.
