Hello I'm Helen,
I'm a stay at home, homeschooling Mum to 4 little ones.
I love to drink copious amounts of coffee, read and scrap book when I have time
and enjoy having friends over for meals...
Looking forward to learning lots about how to use 'Martha' and make my life a little
less busier - smile...
enjoy your day :)

Hi marthaskitchen, welcome to the forum. Your life sounds a busy one so you will find the TMX a great help - it can be cooking and stirring whilst you are attending the children's needs. Our Quirky Jo also home schools and her blog (http://quirkycooking.blogspot.com/) is amazing. especially if the children have intolerances. As you get to know people on the forum, you will discover some very helpful blogs - here's (http://fulllittletummies.blogspot.com/) another one from Chelsea. Could go on and on but I will leave you to find the rest for yourself. Have fun and let us know how things are going.

Welcome to the forum Helen.
-
Hello and welcome Helen. I have very fond memories of Townsville (and there are probably a few things I should remember but are a blur)
-
Hi and welcome to the forum Helen :)
-
Hi Helen and welcome. Do you tramp up that enormous hill you have there very often?
-
Welcome Helen. I am sure that you will have fun finding out about all the good things you can make in the TMX.
-
Hi Helen and welcome to the forum - you have certainly discovered a wonderful resource in this forum. Enjoy discovering the wonders of thermie!!!!! :) :)
-
Hi Helen! Yes, I'm a fellow homeschooler from FNQ! (I'm up in Malanda.) Hope you're loving your Thermomix - isn't it great?? :D
-
Thank you for the warm welcome... this my first time using a forum...
I am really looking forward to checking out the recipes that everyone has put on as so far
I have just been using the books. Thank you Judy Dawn for the h/school thermo blogs, I will
really enjoy having a look at them.
have a great weekend
(note to cookie 1. much easier to drive up the enormous hill than walk - lol!)

Just Jo's is a home schooling Mum Helen, Chelseas is just an all round good blog for people with children.
-
I must agree re the hill marthaskitchen. We drove up several times when we were over there, but did see lots of people running/walking. I was told that the army train up the 'goat track.'
-
Castle Hill holds many special memories for DH - he lived at the top end of Stanley St up until we were married. On reading these posts over my shoulder - his comment re the walk to the top, a leisurely stroll up that goat track- I need to mention he is still super fit, his mid life crisis(and he is about to make the transition from the mid life category) involved not lawn bowls but becoming an aerobics instructor at the gym - taking up to 9 classes a week!!!!!!! A bit of trivia for all!!!! :) :) :)
-
Lucky you Robyn, you have your own personal instructor ;)
-
That would be fine Judy if I needed any instructing - or more the point if I wanted to be instructed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D
-
Mmm, yes it would probably start an argument as I imagine he would be pretty tough on the wife :D :D
-
Robyn I am full of admiration for anyone who can do anything more than drive up that hill and as for the goat track-phew.
You DH is/has an interesting mid life crisis. Good on him.
-
Indeed Cookie. I knew one who ran off with a 17 year old and bought a Porsche. :-)) :-)) ;) ;)
-
Cookie, what I refer to as his crisis is now into double figures as DH has been instructing at the gym in his spare time for well over 10 years. A pre requisite when we travel whether it be in Oz or OS is that the hotel must have a gym!!!!!!!!!!! Luckily our 3 DD have the same passion for fitness - but there is always one in every family (and I have the forum - thank you lovelies!!!!!!!). Now what was the initial focus of this post - apologies to Helen for rambling!!!!!!!!
