the pumpkin soup from the recipe book ....a bit watery for me ..so i will play with it to get it nice thick and creamy ;D
the antipesto scrolls (from here in the forum)
the walnut brownies (from here in the forum) and my very hungry tribe scoffed 3 batches already!!!! .....i used pecans ...and tomorrow on my rdo ..after i drop kids to school i am sneaking to my neighbours to make another batch with macadamia
the hollindaise sauce .... ;) eggs benne 2 mornings for breaky
the betroot and apple salad
the cole slaw
the sorbet .....in apple, then in orange, then in lemon, then in Kiwi
the Milo .....(from here in the forum)
the custard ....(from here in the forum...and took the great advice to add the lindt orange chocolate in it too )
the herbed cream cheese dip
the basic biscuit recipe (from here in the forum)
and i have the ingredients to make the LCM bars ......
SO MY WORLD HAS CHANGED ......
oh i guess i better stop ravin on ..and let you know My real name is Sammi and i have 4 beautiful kids and 2 even more handsome grandsons and i am married to the love of my life (shhhhhheeeees 23 years this year ....poor bugger has nearly done a sentence of a life time). Welcome to the forum Sammi. You have certainly have had fun cooking in the TM and you don't even own one yet :D :D Roll on the tax return so you can keep up with the marathon cooking session in your own TM. ;D
-
Hi and welcome to the forum Sammi - you have arrived in understanding company. My friend is borrowing my TMX at present (but I have not been left without "my kitchen's right hand (actually both hands)" - our DD is in Darwin for a week so I have taken her thermie. Looking forward to being further caught up in your enthusiasm (which by the way never wanes). Cheers :) :)
-
Wow Sammi, imagine when you actually get your own what you will be doing!!
Welcome to the forum and love hearing your enthusiasm, I am the same love it use it daily and your neighbour is very generous I couldn't bear to be without mine anymore :o

Hi Sammi and welcome. It's so exciting with a TMC isn't it? You will be going non stop when you get yours. You obviously have a lovely neighbour.
I had to laugh at your lifetime sentence for your DH. Mine always comments that he has done 2 life sentences. ;D ;D
-
Hi Sammi, welcome to the forum. Tax return time is sure to see the birth of quite a few TMX's into new homes around the country. Having had the very kind loan of one in the meantime means you will just hit the ground running when yours finally arrives - it must have been hard to give it back to your neighbour. Could you have just locked the door and pretended no one was home ;) ;) Lots of hungry mouths to feed at your place so it is no wonder you are cooking many batches of things - it is all the more exciting when food just vanishes and you have to cook something else. This would have been a chore in the old days but the TMX makes it so easy that you just want to do it. Hope you don't have to wait too long for your tax cheque.

thank you for the warm welcome .....and yes i have an awesome neighbour .....often my poor hubby refers to having 2 wives ...keke ...but hey hey he should feel so lucky !!! (also he works away and he is certainly hoping i steal the TM back into this side of the fence ..cause he is away missing out on all the yummies atm)
Cornish cream ....i am like a kid ,,,are we there yet .....hehehe i have already made an appointment with the acc ....he will be impressed with my keen-ness (as it has been full of lag in the past)
Phew johnro .....bless your daughters holiday ....and you ARE THE NEiGHBOUR OF THE YEAR !!!! (NEXT TO MINE ;) )
Sharon ...i am excited.....i am gunna start wearing a "hello i am big Kev" badge cause i am that excited
Cookie ...how blessed you are to have complete 2 life sentences ...when i grow up i wanna be just like you :D
Judy dawn .....i have 3 teenagers and their tribe of friends constantly wafting in and out of my house .....i try and do every once in a while a "sunday session" and i cook pancakes for all the kids in the neighbourhood and anybody else that happens to rock up .....my record is currently 215..... but i consider this a small price when i know where my teenagers are and who they are knocking about with .....also i think one day if any of these kids turn out to be little turd burgers ....it might just mean that they dont break in our yard or steal my letter box ..cause i was the one who made them pancakes ....iykwim ...but so far they all seem really nice and well mannered .......i can wait to impress them with my "George Jetson" cooking gizzmo :-\ .....as it was described by one of my daughters

:-* :-* Thank you.

Welcome phatassphairy (love the name. Maybe I should have used phatasselephant- it would suit me!!) I loved reading your intro and feeling you excitement. Roll on EOFY.
I often tell my DH If I'd murdered him instead of marrying him I'd have been released by now. Love him really

I understand your feeling completely, 1 week Friday , and I haven't stopped cooking. Well only to replenish supplies. I am now buying bread flour in bulk! My husband says he is being fed like a king, I feel sooo clever. To think I felt ill after we had spent so much money thinking I wouldn't do it justice. And all the late nights researching on this forum. Love it,thanks everyone. I will find out how to put a signature at the bottom. Denise from Mandurah

Denise, just click onto your name and that will take you into your profile. On the left hand side is box titled Profile Info. Go down to Modify Profile. Click on 'forum profile information', near the bottom you will see the word 'Signature'. Type your name or whatever you want in there then click on 'change profile setting' at the bottom of the page.

IMy husband says he is being fed like a king,
My DH has a very healthy appetite and when I bought the TM he actually begged to stop making food for a bit as we had way too much ;D I didn't notice as I was having way too much fun with so little effort. Sometimes if you are making things from scratch because you are not buying so many packets and cans you already have the ingredients on hand to whip something up.
-
Welcome - It's great that some people can Thermosit other people machines so they can see life will never be the same once it goes back. I love that you make pancakes for everyone just in case they turn out to be 'turd burgers' :D :D :D - you can vote for your state here (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=395.0). ;)

IT IS HERE!!!!!
I HAVE MADE HEAPS AND HEAPS
agreed ... hubby was happy to go back to work to help himself for this self indulgent pain !!!!
you know the thing that i have noticed and i am not sure how this is ..... but i seems to use hardly any ingredients in comparison to the amount of food that i used to serve two adults and 3 teenagers ...but yet we are all feed to brim ??? ??? ???
Also i attend the kids PNF meeting ......so i have offered to do the catering (instead of ordering in a platter of nibbles) for our next meeting ....just so i can big note myself
OH ....... the most important part is my thermo is officially a member of the family it has been named "Thelma"
(my vaccum is Mike and my steam mop is Ken.... often tell my hubby i did nothing else in my day except get steamy and dirty with mike and ken ....he knows what i mean ...but i love to post it on his FB page ....kekeke)
-
Yay ;D. Congratulations on the arrival of your very own TM. Now you wont need to visit your neighbor half as much lol.
Have heaps of fun which I am pretty sure you certainly will be.
-
Love your work, Sammi. Great posting. Welcome to you and WELCOME TO YOUR NEW *THERMOMIX*!
-
;D Oh Sammi, you sound great.
I am in Yungaburra now. I was born and lived in Cairns for ever.
Have fun cooking.

welcome phatassphairy (cool name btw) and thelma. sounds like you are already in full swing and loving it. i just whipped up mamees chicken cacciatore risotto in 20 mins flat for the kids after a rather tiring day. it still amazes me how easy tm makes cooking healthy meals for the family on occasions when i once would have just given up and gone and bought take aways!
enjoy :)
