Title: Asian demo
Post by: Halex on June 11, 2011, 04:07:53 am
I am having my 3rd demo in 3 months!

We have been asked if we would like to have an Asian demo, so this Thursday it is booked for.
Has anyone else had this demo.

I know of them, I have the menu, will be interested to see if it is the same as what you are having. I was also sent the following on the bottom of the menu...so haven't investigated any further  ??? ???

These are authentic Chinese recipes developed for the Chinese market only and should not be used for westerners who are ‘interested’ in Chinese cuisine. They are delicious, but very traditional.

I have a rough outline of the menu, it has been changed several times as I am allergic to seafood.

I think the demo is more for fun than an actual official demo.

I am happy to learn about new foods etc.

Hi I've had an Asian themed demo.  The demonstrator Chrys made a sun dried tomato dip, soft butter rolls, soya bean milk, Thai green curry and a fruity dream.  The dip and dessert would be the only non Asian foods demonstrated.  It was fantastic for us as we predominately cook Asian at home.  But I have attended a standard demo and a varoma demo as well so have seen the range of what the TM can do.  Hope you enjoy your demo.

Cheers

Will let you all know as soon as I have it today.

I know one was going to be cooking a whole fish but we canned that as I am allergic to seafood and then there was another fish dish, so that went. I was offered Thai green chicken curry but said no as I had cooked it.

Would love to see what yours is Faffa.

Hally :)

Last nights demo was a great success. The food was lovely, first time ever no left-overs!

The veggies were cooked  in sesame seed oil, not done them this way before, really delish and oh the chicken was so yummy. All the food was great.

The chicken was from the Asian cook book, thoroughly recommend you try.

Oh gosh, and I don't think  I can even blame that on auto correct. Cooking Bimby's chocolate
cake and typing at the same time. Not  21 anymore, even though DS did think I was a superhero for a while. That would have been when i ran down the hall way and managed to leap over our king size bed to showhim some of my powers ! Crazy but it had him going for a while.

Ha ha ha!!! Love it Hally! :D My kids were so impressed by my riding one of their scooters down a hill and trying to jump it at the bottom - but I think what they liked the best was that I fell off and rolled on the grass - they thought it was hilarious and I was mum of the week for a while!! Funny the things that impress kids.  ;)

Both my boys have scooters and love them. DH fell off a scooter trying to impress me and broke his arm about 6 years ago so we have a bit of a scooter meets hill phobia here  :o

My DD fell off a scooter about 8 weeks ago and broke both bones in her right arm, and my DS fell off his scooter a few years ago and broke both his front adult teeth (One needed a root canal as it died) So we dont have much luck with scooters in this house.

Eeeek!! Okay, no more riding down hills on scooters!!  :o :o We'll stick to our nice, level, quiet street!  ;D
