You sound very organised fundj.  I go as my gut guides me and apart from bread/rolls, rice, mashed potato & vegies to accompany whatever meal I am making on the day, soup in winter, I don't have set things that I make every week. Wow you go through a lot of breadcrumbs  :o

That explains it then fundj - I wouldn't make 3 loaves of breadcrumbs a year, let alone in a week   :D :D

We usually have bread every week. Mostly it's TMX bread, but sometimes it's sourdough. I do icecream every 1 or 2 weeks and cakes or cookies every week. apart from that it depends on what we're eating. Vegies are always on too of course.

MESS lol :D :D

I bake a couple of loaves of bread per week to have as sandwiches or with soup. I am starting to use TM more as I get more confident at making bread from scratch ;)
I make porridge daily.
I always cook some kind of soup, lentil and veggie or chicken and veggie, either in TM, on the stove or in the slow cooker.
I usually bake one or two batches of muffins or biscuits. I've been experimenting with healthy variations so have had a few flops when I've got quantities wrong :-[
Always steamed veggies a few times per week.
I want to start making my own yoghurt weekly as well, since I eat so much and it is so expensive. Faffa, can I ask which yoghurt recipe you use?

I don't think I have a regular recipe I make each week, I try to vary it as much as possible.
I do steam my veggies most nights, cheese and bacon rolls or plain rolls most weeks,
pizza every couple weeks,
sauces and stock I make as needed. Snacks for the kids and DH is just ongoing as needed and varies each week with a mixture of sweet and savory.

The only thing I have been making regularly is porridge. I'm not a menu planning sort of person, and one week is never like another. In winter I make lots of soups and casseroles. I like choosing recipes from this forum that I haven't tried before, and My family is used to me trying out new recipes on them. My fallback recipe is pasta carbonara, but I haven't tried it in the TC yet.  I use my TC almost everyday, but it's never the same thing.

I usually make bread and soup on Sunday night (especially now it's colder) and usually some type of pastry to fill everyone up, sometimes it's vegetarian sausauge rolls or quiche, tonight it was chicken pinwheels from Dinner Spinner (made some with pesto, fetta and spinach as well for vegetarians). I like to have a soup in the fridge to take for lunches, too. I usually make mashed potato at least once a week. Almost every week I make pizza.

On school holidays I make chicken stock paste, vegie stock paste, umami paste and washing powder to stock up. Yet to master yogurt.

I never consistently plan, although there will be bread of some sort (love Cobb loaf and my own basic bread recipe, and also JO's Sourcream loaf, FFS Granuesli), smoothies, make EasiYo yogurt but am experimenting with faffas, always cook with the TM but there are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many recipes we are not confined to a boring regime. Alll the recipes of my CP63 list  (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=6470.0).

Don't bake my bread as I only have Sundays at home.
Cakes, slices, biscuits, muffins etc
Veges, pasta, chicken, fish, meat.
I usually try & cook 2 different meals on Sunday. Do enough to freeze one meal of each.

What i make weekly but not all in  *: as am still getting used to it and working out how to convert regular dishes.
I am not yet on auto  *: mode for  *: cooking, but I did miss it on holiday however the owner of our hol house is an excellent cook and she provided 6 meals  at very reasonable cost. Partly cos they were huge and each meal did 2 meals ! Far cheaper than eating out. Eating out in a pub is much more. We spent more on the first weekend on food out than for the next week and it was good and we had puddings too.
Gave me new ideas too. It was so great not havin g to think what to cook or buy. She had a list and we chose it. I loved Welsh cawl and am waiting for recipe to be emailed. That would work in TMX I think, or part of it. I am lucky and will always slow cook in Aga though. Will try to post recipes when have tested in  *:, but not this week!

Bread and English muffins several times
Cake and or biccies. Often a fatless sponge made in Kenwood.
soups
Porridge, may try in TMX soon.
Custards/ sauces
Salads with cold meat, hard boiled eggs or cheese

Mince or stew
Roast dinners
Leftovers into shepherd pie or rissoles
Mash, rice, roasties or potatoe wedges

Fortnightly fajitas, toad in the hole, bolognaise, fried fish with egg and breadcrumbs, pizza, savoury flan like onion

Kids love fish pie, pasta and tuna, carbonara, but DH does not so we have these when he is away.

Have to do lots of meals as DH is farmer and home for lunch every day too.

Traditional Victoria sponge is butter, eggs, sugar, flour

This sponge has no butter and with very fresh eggs is as light as a feather, still has sugar though.
Will post recipe IDC, but I don't make in TMX.

I don't do exactly the same every week.

Bread or no fuss rolls.
Muffins, a slice or scones for DH for smoko
Caramelised onion, mushroom and fetta tarts (they are always requested by work friends) so need to keep them in the freezer
Fried rice for the feezer.

Here's  (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=6072.0) Uni's recipe for onion confit Deeau.  She also tells you how to make the garlic confit in that posting.

Well no hens at moment but usually yes.
The difference between shop bought and from hens when baking is huge.

Shop bought still ok though. Will post later but it won't be converted. Will put in non TMX recipe section if that's ok.

Cheers DJ

PS I think I am tending to experiment more now with new recipes since just DH and I at home. However troops coming home soon and may revert to old habits as easier when busy and guaranteed to be eaten!

Only things I make every single week are pancakes (weekend treat) and some sort of biscuit or muffin for school lunchboxes - none of which I used to do much of before TMX. I'm still enjoying experimenting, plus we always have leftovers to freeze for another meal, so rarely cook the same thing 2 weeks in a row.

Most weeks I make:
Bread - at least once/week
cheese and bacon buns - at least once/week
stewed fruits (whatever is in the fridge) - daily (the girls have it in their porridge)
steamed veges - 5 nights/week
mashed potato - at least once/week
cheese sauce (for various reasons) - at least once/week
muffins/cakes/brownies - at least once/week (for DH and Miss5's lunchboxes)
sausage rolls of some descriptions - most weeks
soup - most weeks
... I'm sure there is more but trying to think isn't working too well!  :-[

Breakfast every day - either porridge or Quirky Jo's fermented  brown rice waffles.
Yogurt
Bread rolls for DH, only cooking that's not GF
Baking - always like something for DH to have as a treat. As only two of us, these go straight in the freezer. I would bake every day if I could! However DH likes only one or two treats in freezer at a time - too fattening otherwise  ;D
Lunches and dinners change all the time, but TM always used, even if only for prep.

I do make breakfast every Sunday. Eggs benedict are DH's favourite. Sometimes we go out for breaky.
Must read fundj's dos and don'ts again when ordering breakfast.
