Title: sfingi siciliani with photos

Name of Recipe:sfingi siciliani
Number of People:
Ingredients:
350g plain flour (about)
1 egg
¼ teaspoon slat
¼ cinnamon
About 2 cups warm water 


Preparation:
Mix 1st four Ingredients 30sec speed 4

Insert butterfly close lid
Add warm water through the hole speed 3 to 4
Scarp down side a few times

When no more lumps of flour are visible and you have a thick batter, if to thin add more flour mix 2 min on speed 3

Rest batter for 1
Deep fry, I use a wok. Use tlbs full of batter or do the funnel method

Fundj, that looks really interesting.  Is that like what we would call a donut type mixture - we would roll it in cinnamon sugar whilst they were still warm.  Loved the funnel version. I rarely deep fry these days - what type of oil do you use for these please?

Yes jd was about to modify Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar or honey
While still warm
I use canola oil
You can fold in some sultanas after the final mix
Or if you make a really thick batter you can stuff them with anchovies.
Its hard for me to explain how to do that

I am like Judy and don't fry very often at all. These do like an easy, quick treat. I guess you rest the dough for 1 hour?
