I just made the crumpets from TM facebook page to me they just taste like pan cakes anyone else tried them?.

No I haven't fundj but are they the same as this recipe from Thermomixer here (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=99.0)?

JD, no its not. It doesn't have yeast. Looks very much like a recipe for American pancakes or pikelets

no water
no salt
baking powder instead of  bicarb soda

Sounds like they're waffles, not crumpets!
